Jordan Love seems to be living in a dream right now, and it looks almost too good to be true! He’s had an awesome season in 2024, plus he’s about to marry the love of his life. Recently, Ronika Stone had her bridal shower, which her sister Ronnie organized. She even shared some fun pics from the day on Instagram with the caption, “Showered with Love ,” showing off some clever wordplay. In the photos, she’s hanging out with friends and family, and there’s even a cake that says “Future Mrs. Love” on it. Looks like they had a blast!
It took a little while for things to get to this point. Love first met Stone by chance through his college roommate, Mo Walker. Mo and Ronika were best friends in high school, and one day during a FaceTime call, Love got his first look at Ronika. After that, they started chatting one-on-one, which quickly turned into meetups. The rest is pretty much history. Jordan and Ronika went Instagram official in 2020, and last year, Jordan popped the question while they were on a trip to Italy. Love said, “That was intense,” when he talked about the proposal in an interview.
With many friends and family wishing and congratulating the couple in the comments, there was one comment that stood out. David Bakhtiari, a former Packers player and Jordan Love’s ex-teammate, expressed his excitement at their wedding. Bakhtiari was with the Packers from 2013 to 2023 after being drafted by the team in the 4th round of the 2013 NFL Draft. While the offensive tackle didn’t get much game time with Love in the 2023 season (he started 1 game), he was part of the O-line that was tasked with protecting the Packers’ new QB1. And we can see the connection with his comments.
“Can’t wait for the wedding day. Bout the set that dance floor on ,” David commented on Ronika Stone’s post, showing eagerness to show off his moves on the dance floor. Reacting to this, Ronika made a wish of her own. Tagging him and his wife, Ronika replied, saying, “@davidbakhtiari @frankiebakhtiari choreographed dance please.” Now we’ll have to see how David takes to this request and whether he does perform a choreographed dance on the big day.
It is quite evident from the banter in the comments section that David Bakhtiari has an excellent relationship with the couple. David has, in the past, been supportive of Jordan and the Packers. Despite the fact that the Packers did not renew his contract after the 2023 season. When Jordan was injured in week 1 of the 2024 season, David tweeted, “.@jordan3love hate to see this. Hate all injuries but it su–s a bit more to quality human beings like yourself. for you and always know I’m rooting for you brotha. J.”
Even during the time when David was not re-signed by the Packers, Ronika supported him and tweeted in his favor. Using his time as a free agent, David had posted a video of himself in the gym. Reacting to the post and trying to possibly convince the Packers, Ronika had commented, “I’ve seen enough, welcome back to the Packers.” This shows the history and the bond between the couple and David and how it transcends the game.
Jordan’s on-field life, as well as his ‘Love’ life, appear to be going smoothly. There might be a small hiccup at the back end, with rumors floating of Jordan possibly losing his place.
Jordan Love’s position in trouble?
The NFL draft from last month saw some teams making big strategic moves, while some teams made surprise moves, confusing fans. The Green Bay Packers, unfortunately, fall on the latter side. The Packers’ move to get two receivers, namely, Texas standout Matthew Golden and TCU’s Savion Williams, confused fans. Leading them to ask whether this is the end of the road for the Reed-Love partnership.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, general manager Brian Gutekunst took quick notice and eased the tension. It is reported that the GM met with Jayden Reed’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, and assured him that Reed was their number one choice. This move not only dispelled any rumors that might have made their way but also signaled to Jordan Love that his position on the field and in the team was not in danger.
After this report was out, there must have been relief in Jordan Love’s camp as well as in the fans’ minds. Now they would just be waiting for the season to start and the duo to do their magic once again. After all, ever since the duo came into existence, they have evolved into one of the best QB-WR duos. Often highlighted by the deep-ball connections and their growing trust in each other.
