2025 Bahrain Championship: Prize Money Breakdown & Winner’s Payout

The unique ship-shaped trophy of the Bahrain Championship is set to find the second winner in the 2025 schedule. The third event of the DP World Tour calendar having some great names participating is a true delight for fans. After a long break of 12 years, the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a championship last year that saw an impressive feat by South African Dylan Frittelli.

Even though, as compared to the ongoing AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship isn’t offering a high payout. But, for the European-based players, it is not a miss for sure. With a $2.5 million prize purse, there is a lot more for the winner. The winner will get 3500 Race To Dubai points and 1,000 Ryder Cup points.

Even the golfers have the chance to win the bonus of $200,000, awarded after the International Swing in March. The event teeing off at the Royal Golf Club isn’t going to be an easy one for sure, as after the first round, the score by the leader has reached under par 11. Close to last year’s final score recorded by Fritelli, i.e., 13 under par.

With over 130 players competing, the top 70 will get assured purse increases. At the 70th place, the golfer will earn $4,750, which is the lowest. As we move up on the ranking, the 51st position will have an increase of $10,250, the 33rd with $20,000, and the 20th with $30,000. The top 10 golfers will take the major share away as the golfers ranked between 5th to 10th position will gain $105,000 to $50,000, decreasing by rank.

The event saw some great record-setting performances by golfers at the 2025 Bahrain Championship. The Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal, tied for third place after the first round with a score of 66 with 6 under par. After his performance, he seemed happy and expressed it as the best of his career. “It’s been a while since I played this kind of golf. Probably the best round I’ve played as a dad. It’s all about getting used to it,” he said.

Even the list topper Brandon Robinson Thompson, who recorded 61 with 11 under par, also remarked the performance as the lowest recorded score. He said, “I think it’s my lowest round as a professional, let alone on the DP World Tour.”
