The Asian Tour is back in Macau this week for its second International Series event of the season. The event marks the second of ten tournaments in the 2025 International Series, a series officially sanctioned by the Asian Tour and financially supported by LIV Golf. Last year, John Catlin won the International Series Macau title in a thrilling playoff against Spain’s David Puig, a victory that would be a turning point in his career heading into 2024.
In the field of 149 stars, the most notable names are Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed. Other players who are competing include Ollie Schniederjans, who claimed the International Series India Presented by DLF title, and Adrian Meronk, the LIV Golf Riyadh champion. Anthony Kim, YouTube sensation Luke Kwon, US Open winner Graeme McDowell, and Chase Koepka who returned to the competitive scene this year after a hard phase also played.
The event is taking place at the Macau Golf and Country Club, with a prize pool of $2 million up for grabs and three spots available for The Open Championship that will happen at Royal Portrush in July 2025. The excitement is sure to build as these stars battle for the title.

We now know that a lot is at stake in Macau. So, players will clearly be aiming to emerge victorious, but who could they be?
Potential winners at the 2025 LIV Golf International Series Macau
Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed, Abraham Ancer, Lucas Herbert, Sebastian Munoz, Adrian Meronk, and David Puig are among the 17 LIV golfers aiming to secure a spot in a major championship by competing this week. None of these players have earned a place in The British Open yet, making this week’s performance critical. Patrick Reed took an early lead, carding an impressive 7-under 63 to sit one stroke ahead of the field.
Sergio Garcia, Sebastian Munoz, and Lucas Herbert are two shots back after firing rounds of 65. Adrian Meronk finished with a 66, while Abraham Ancer posted a 67. David Puig, who lost in a playoff last year, started with a 1-under 69.
With spots in the British Open on the line, the competition is heating up. Stay tuned as these players battle it out for a chance at glory.
