5-Star Brandon Arrington Confirms Next Move After Making Big Texas A&M Announcement

Brandon Arrington, hailing from California, is the definition of a game-changer—with size, speed, and skill to burn. At 6’2”, 185 pounds, he’s a walking highlight reel, and coaches aren’t just calling—they’re flying in. And while his versatility makes him a must-have, the battle for his commitment is heating up. The nation’s No. 1 athlete just dropped his top six, setting up a clash of giants: Georgia, Alabama, USC, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas A&M. But while SEC and B1G powerhouses are all in, Arrington is ready to confirm his next move.

While Arrington’s recruitment is in full swing, the five-star playmaker has just locked in his official visits, as reported by On3 Hayes Fawcett. First up is Penn State on May 2, followed by Texas A&M on June 6 before a marquee stop at Alabama on June 13. But the journey doesn’t end there. USC rolls out the red carpet on June 17, followed by Oregon on June 20. But when it comes to Georgia, the official visit date has not been revealed yet. Safe to say, the nation’s No. 1 athlete is making big moves, and every stop could shape his future.

And why not? The nation’s No. 8 overall prospect isn’t just fast—he’s a blur. Projected as a defensive back with wide receiver potential, the California native was the California Gatorade Player of the Year in track and field as a sophomore. He boasts a blazing 4.32 in the 40-yard dash and a 10.27 in the 100-meter. His explosiveness jumps off the tape, and with the ball in his hands, he’s electric. Moreover, his quickness leaves defenders in the dust, making coverage nearly impossible. But his talent doesn’t stop there. With elite length, speed, and ball skills, he’s just as dominant at cornerback. So, whether it’s offense or defense, Brandon Arrington is a significant change.

And praising this athletic talent 247Sports’ Greg Biggins said, “Two-Sport standout and one of the fastest sprinters in the country. Has personal best times of 10.43-100m and 20.76-200m as a sophomore and could easily double sport in college. On the grid-iron, shows the ability to play corner or receiver and should also develop in to a dangerous return man. Has a long, athletic 6-2, 180 pound frame with plenty of room to add good weight.”

As of now, with 40 offers in hand, it all makes sense. But some schools have already made a real impact. Leading the charge? James Franklin’s PSU. And according to Arrington, it was his “first big offer”, so he put it best, stating, “I’ve always had a great bond with Penn State.” Then there’s Oregon. Dan Lanning is pushing hard, keeping in constant contact, and Arrington said, “Calls me almost every day,” referring to Lanning. But despite the effort, the Oregon HC is playing catch-up.

And here, USC is making a strong push. While USC’s new GM Chad Bowden wants to lock down California, keeping top talent home, for Arrington, the Trojans have always been in the picture. And he summarised it best, saying, “I’ve been going to USC since I was an eighth grader.” Honestly, a lifelong fan, but is that enough? Alabama isn’t leading, but they’re still in the fight. “Every time I go to Alabama, it feels like I’m always there,” Brandon admitted. And then there’s Georgia. With Kirby Smart’s dominance, Arrington saw “all the great things there.” To be honest, while every program is in the hunt, one school has taken the lead—holding a massive 86.2% shot at landing him.

A major announcement from Brandon Arrington

Texas A&M is in the driver’s seat. The On3 RPM gives the Aggies a commanding 86.2% chance to land Arrington. And they need him, because last season, rival Texas stormed into the SEC and nearly stole the show—including a statement win in College Station. Now, A&M is looking for a response, and Arrington could be the spark to shift the power balance. On top of this, his bond with the Aggies is real, and it’s why they’re leading the race.

While Texas A&M is all in on Brandon Arrington, he knows it. And following that, Arrington said, “A&M recruits me the hardest. They said I’m the top person they want on the board. So I feel like everything there is just great for me.” And a big reason? Head coach Mike Elko. “[Coach Elko] said I could probably play both ways there, and get some special teams…so he has a plan with me. I have a plan with them, and everything goes together,” said the standout ATH. As of now, while the vision is clear, and the fit is perfect, it’s just a matter of time.

But just days ago, Kirby Smart took a sly jab at an Aggies legend. Coincidence? Maybe not. So, Georgia is still in the running and poised to make a last-minute bid for Brandon Arrington. And their secret weapon? An official visit—a golden opportunity to sway Arrington. While the stakes are high, Arrington’s decision could shape his entire career.
