But that wasn’t all. The co-managing partner went on to add, “I’m really optimistic that we are going to make a playoff run now.” Yes, you read that right. The 11th-seeded team, which is somehow holding on to that spot, will be making it to the postseason tournament. Harris clearly knows it’s no easy task, but he was showing confidence in the Sixers. And that didn’t sit well with the fans, who flooded the comment section with harsh criticism.

The Sixers made it to the playoffs last season but couldn’t get past the Knicks in the first round. Season after season, the team has tried but has been unable to reach their ultimate goal. Joel Embiid is undoubtedly a superstar with incredible talent, but it’s his injuries that continue to derail the team’s chances. Every fan knows about his injury history, particularly with his left knee, which has been troubling him since last season. If the Sixers trade him, they could potentially land a star player who would be able to stay on the court and contribute consistently, rather than being sidelined for long stretches, like Embiid. So far this season, the 7-footer has only appeared in 16 games, missing a chunk of games already. And now, the situation has only worsened.
A fan asked, “Embiid is talking about having major surgery, and Philly fans are supposed to believe they are going on a playoff run?” The Sixers’ center has been vocal about needing surgery for his knee, as he’s been playing through constant discomfort.
