$97M Injured Cowboys Weapon Shares Big Update on Recovery as Jerry Jones Receives Crucial Advice on Rebuild

Injuries! One thing that wrecked the Cowboys‘ season in 2024. Everyone knows Jerry Jones assembled a great team on paper. Trust me, they had everything, including great defense and a decent attack. But, as the season was on its road, the team’s top players collapsed and got injured. The teams’ main pillars, like Dak Prescott and Trevon Diggs, left them mid-way.

Obviously, these injuries completely disrupted the team’s equilibrium, thus the bad season. But now it looks like injured CB Diggs has revealed what is going on with him behind the scenes. And it’s definitely good news.

If you recall, Trevon Diggs has not had stellar seasons in terms of health over the last two years. In September 2023, the CB was unable to continue after suffering an ACL injury. As a result, we did not see him during that season. Although the star made a massive return to the field in 2024, his luck ran out after only 11 games. Diggs experienced knee troubles again, which were diagnosed as cartilage damage.

And unfortunately, he had to undergo another surgery. The sad part was that this surgery was speculated to take out the CB for a long time. But can you really take Diggs out of the picture just like that?

Nuh-uhhh. Trevon Diggs posted an Instagram story about how he is performing daily exercises to enhance his condition. The CB shared three IG stories in which he can be seen trying to stretch out and work his best on the knee. Man! That’s great news for the fans. It is evident that Diggs does not want to miss the 2025 season at all.

And after this IG story, it is being assumed that the CB can return sooner than expected, that is before August 2025.

In his 11 games of the 2024 season, Diggs recorded 42 tackles along with two interceptions. These are some great numbers and the reason there is so much expectation from him for 2025. The Cowboys had a downfall last year finishing at third in NFC East with 7-10. While the team did not qualify, Jerry Jones believed that this was a great season and there were a lot of learnings for them. And maybe the billionaire is looking to apply those learnings this year.

Even one of the NFL legends has come in to advise what can help the team in this position. And maybe his strategy can be something Jones can work towards this year.

Jerry Jones and Brian Schottenheimer could be seeking to build a great offensive line first

When we look at things objectively, we can see that Dallas has a lot of room for improvement. But, their biggest shortcoming is unquestionably their offensive.

The team’s offensive line is relatively young or does not have any players that have proven themselves. With Tyler Smith as an exception, the others are simply not producing outcomes on the field. And it is something Jerry Jones should try to address in this new era for his franchise. With Mike McCarthy‘s departure, the team’s new era has officially begun under Brian Schottenheimer.

Even the nine-time Pro Bowler and seven-time First-Team All-Pro guard Zack Martin believes the team needs a new offensive line. Everyone knows that after careful consideration, the guard decided to hang up his boots on March 5. He is 34 years old and believes it is time for the next generation to take over the game. Something that he wants to happen in the Cowboys too. Recent rumors say that the former player wants fresh players in the offensive line.

According to certain sources, Zack Martin wants the new head coach and Jerry Jones to draft terrific rookies in the NFL Draft. After that, in a few years, they can work on them to form a formidable offensive line. This way, the team will undoubtedly perform well on the field. And once their offensive troubles are resolved, the team can shift its focus to other aspects.

For the time being, the club has a strong defense, led by Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs. And, if they address the flaws Martin raised, they should be able to make the playoffs this season.
