What Happened to Rui Hachimura? Lakers Star in Visible Pain After Clash With Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon

After two concerning outings following the All-Star break, it finally looked like the Lakers got their groove back tonight. As they went head-to-head against the Nuggets, Luka Doncic caught fire early, proving why he is one of the best scorers in the game. LeBron James and the rest of the squad followed suit. But things took an unfortunate turn when Rui Hachimura was forced to leave the game midway due to scary injury.

The incident occurred in the opening minutes of the final quarter. During a post-up move by Aaron Gordon, Rui tried his best to guard the high flying forward. However, the Nuggets star bullied his way to the basket and made the tough bucket. But concerns grew when Hachimura immediately grabbed his left side after the play and headed straight to the locker room in visible agony. Sure enough, the LA franchise had no option but to call a timeout to sub in a replacement for an injured Hachimura.

Still waiting on word on Rui Hachimura, who went to the back after holding his left side. Hachimura scored 12 of his 21 pts in the 3rd Q to hold of DEN’s run.
