You can find Flau’jae Johnson beaming from ear to ear more often than not lately. Leading her team offensively aside, the 21-year-old is smitten with her recently revealed beau, Chris Hilton Jr. “You’re my home, my heart, and my forever,” she confessed about three months in. Oh, love is in the air and the flashes of the first meeting have the Big 4 squealing in joy.
As one of the top players in college basketball, Johnson has become a force to be reckoned with on the court because of her impressive stats and clutch performances. Her LSU Tigers have been doing rather well this year, having lost only 2 games in conference play and Johnson is a big part of their success. However, off the court, she is just like the rest of us- smitten with her significant other and loving every minute of it.
On her podcast show ‘Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae’, the Tigers star talked about how she and Hilton Jr. met for the first time. “I’m like talking to him and stuff like that, but he’s not feeling me for real. Or at least I thought he wasn’t feeling me.” She said, talking about their first interaction together during a NIL shoot. Johnson quickly realized, however, that the man was just mellow and shy.
They followed each other on Instagram, and Flau’jae took the initiative. She replied to Hilton Jr.’s IG story, and they started talking. The LSU star started blushing as she admitted to being more than a little invested in the relationship. “It was crazy cuz I was texting him as I was taking off on my flight to Greece,” she said, smiling shyly.
Who hasn’t been there? Willing to go the extra mile just to catch a glimpse or share a conversation with that special someone? Flau’jae Johnson is no exception, and her adorable confession about staying up till 4 am to chat with Chris Hilton Jr. is proof that even NCAA stars can be hopeless romantics!
“We started talking when I was in Greece. This is how I really knew how I liked him because in Greece, it was like 4 am and here it was like 4 pm…..I was staying up till 4 am just to text him a couple of little sentences. But yeah, I’m glad I did that. That’s my pookie.” The blushing just wouldn’t stop! The couple has been going strong since going public in December 2024, with both athletes supporting each other’s passions and pursuits.
Both of them are high-level athletes, and have the option of going pro in their careers. However, their commitments haven’t stopped them from spending time together or expressing love for one another.

Recently, Flau’jae Johnson posted a video of their time together. The video showcased their lovely moments, including holding hands, posing for photos, and goofing around. It featured clips from her stories and behind-the-scenes footage from the few photoshoots they had done together. One clip that stood out, however, was of Johnson hugging her boyfriend with her eyes closed in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

When they cannot be present on the court to cheer, they often take to social media to support each other. Recently, Hilton posted an Instagram story, commending Johnson for her remarkable season with LSU. “Remember what I told you,” he wrote, making Johnson reply with an “I got you “. Similarly, upon seeing a video of her LSU wide receiver boyfriend in training, Johnson reacted adorably, writing, “I’m not gonna say much until szn starts “.
