Will Campbell’s Arm Measurement Sparks Outrage in Patriots Nation as Mike Vrabel Faces Tough Draft Decision

Two-time first-team All-SEC? Great. Jacobs Blocking Trophy? Superb. Consensus All-America selection? Magnificent. LSU’s star offensive tackle Will Campbell checks all the boxes a highly touted draft prospect requires. Like he is almost certain to be picked top 5 once this year’s draft comes around. However, there’s one thing that continues to hinder Campbell’s draft stock come April. Actually, it’s not about his draft stock, it’s related to his dream of continuing to play as a tackle among the pros. Campbell’s arm length may cause problems once he does move to the NFL.

Will Campbell’s arm length was measured at 32 5/8 inches, which falls under the 33-inch threshold. But it seems like the Patriots are still very much in using their No.4 overall in Campbell. Apparently his arm length is not an issue. And if needed, he could play at guard. That probably of moving him at guard with hopes of playing at tackle has seemingly outraged the Patriots Nation. One of the fans wrote on X, “You don’t draft a guard at #4 with the hopes he may be able to play tackle….should’ve learned that lesson from Isaiah Wynn.”

There it is, Will Campbell comes in under the 33-inch threshold. @ByMarkDaniels reported this week the Patriots see him as a tackle “arm measurements be damned” so this may not impact their evaluation. https://t.co/N4YHdV1yam
