Tom Aspinall, as you can imagine, is desperate to fight Jon Jones. And so, apparently, are Dana White and co. But as of yet, things are still stuck in neutral for the same reason it was before- Jon Jones has not agreed to the fight. The GOAT contender had asked for ‘f–k you money’ to face the Englishman, and it seems like the UFC and Jones have not been able to agree to terms for an Aspinall fight. With each passing days, fans hope that the heavyweight champ would agree to a unification bout with the English interim champ.
However, as of today, ‘Bones’ hasn’t budged, Aspinall revealed in a video posted on his official YouTube channel.“I want the fight. I’ve been on record and said that I want the fight. I’ve been on the phone with the UFC saying that I want the fight, when’s it happening? I want the fight more than anyone. He’s [Jones is] holding it up right now, it’s his side, that’s the truth of it. The UFC really really want the fight to happen, they’ve told me that this is, as I said, this is one of the biggest fights that can be made in MMA right now. And everybody knows that, everybody knows it. It’s just does he want to put himself in a position where he’s comfortable enough financially to take the risk that he’s taking to fight me. And that is where we’re at,” Aspinall said.
“They [the UFC] really, they assure me that they desperately want to make the fight. Every time I speak to them, they say we are working as hard as we can on the fight. And I’m literally just waiting for a date,” the interim heavyweight champ added.

And it seems like Aspinall is getting impatient. The Manchester resident, who likes to stay active, told fans that he was desperate for a fight– with or without Jones– and indicated he will move on if the GOAT contender doesn’t agree to fight him soon
“I’m not bothered where, I’m not bothered who it’s against to be honest. It’s not just the Jon Jones fight I’m looking for, I’m looking to fight man,” Aspinall declared.
