What Happened Between Julian Champagnie and OKC Duo? Mass Brawl Ensues in San Antonio Leading to Triple Ejection

With the NBA playoffs approaching closer and closer with each game, it is no surprise that tensions would be rising. Teams who had been occupying the very low seeds up till this point would be competing to secure a playoff qualifying rank. Therefore, going into the ongoing matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs squad would have been expected to put on a different show. However, by ‘different’, one would not have expected Julian Champagnie and the OKC squad being on the opposite ends of a brawl!

As the 3rd quarter of the OKC-Spurs game continued on, with 3:05 minutes on the clock, Jeremy Sochan grabbed an assist to deliver an additional and memorable 2 points to his team. However, his feat was overshadowed as the players immediately rushed to the middle of the court. As highlighted by beat writer Joel Lorenzi, a scuffle broke out after Lu Dort and Jeremy Sochan reportedly got into a fight for unknown reasons.

Julian Champagnie also got involved, along with other players, as the crowd egged on the fight. Eventually, Lu Dort, Kenrich Williams, and Julian Champagnie were ejected. However, Jeremy Sochan was not punished, an act that people have not waited to criticize on X.
