LeBron James, Luka Doncic and More Send Strength to Kyrie Irving as Medical Expert Drops Concerning Diagnosis

Thought that the Dallas Mavericks’ situation couldn’t get any worse after Luka Doncic’s exit? Well, Kyrie Irving just went out and said ‘Hold my Beer’.

The 32-year-old star sent out a major scare during the Mavs’ recent matchup against the Sacramento Kings after he sustained a left knee sprain in the 1st quarter. Mavs head coach Jason Kidd had held some optimism by stating, “Just unlucky, you know, hope that he’s healthy and it’s not serious”. Unfortunately, Kidd could not have been further from the truth if a medical professional’s recent diagnosis is to be believed. Given Irving’s poor condition, several of the player’s former teammates are sending in their prayers.

The Los Angeles Lakers did not play a game today. Therefore, both LeBron James and Luka Doncic would have been catching up on how other teams were fairing. This allowed them to react immediately after Kyrie Irving went down. Taking to X, LeBron wrote, “Prayers sent up to Ky”, accompanied by a series of different emojis. Meanwhile, the Slovenian highlighted his former teammate’s injury on his Instagram story. He added teary eyes and folded hands emojis as caption.

Dr Evan Jeffries recently took to X to provide his diagnosis after viewing Irving’s injury. According to him, the way the player’s left knee buckled and hyperextended does not speak well for him. Jeffries believes that the best-case scenario is that the injury is simply a Hyperextension/bone bruise. Worst-case scenario: an ACL tear.

This is a developing story.
