Ex-Rams Star Confirms Sean McVay’s True Intentions for Cooper Kupp as Rams Trade Jonah Jackson to Bears

The Los Angeles Rams are moving away from some big names this offseason. Despite entering into the playoffs for two back-to-back seasons, it seems Sean McVay has enough of it. We understand the frustration of the franchise is real. Afterall, coming so close to the biggest goal, the Super Bowl, and losing from there is definitely tough. But what the Rams have been doing this offseason is probably tougher for many. And by saying this, we are of course hinting towards one major piece of the Rams – Cooper Kupp.

I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA. Still…..there are so many things that are out of your control….” Along with Cooper Kupp, we all were surprised to hear the Rams’s decision on the wide receiver. But during an interview earlier, Sean McVay gave a hope that the Rams might not close the door for Kupp. However, now, this decision seems to take a back seat.

On Tuesday, former Rams’s tackle Andrew Whitworth appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to talk about the team’s situation and their decision on Cooper Kupp. Talking about Sean McVay and his team’s decision, Whitworth tried to clear the HC’s intentions towards the WR. How? Well, talking about McVay’s early statements, he expressed, “I think, he knows better that in this league anything can happen and so, I think at the end of the day, they will end up separating and Cooper will end up somewhere else.

Whitworth hinted that it’s quite possible that Sean McVay and the Rams separate with each other, despite the early claims. Afterall, Cooper Kupp’s revelation of the team’s “seeking immediate trade” couldn’t be a lie. However, there is one thing for sure, as per the Thursday Night Football analyst. What is it? Well, after hinting at the potential broken marriage between Kupp and Los Angeles, the analyst pointed out – “If there’s anything we’ve learned in the recent years with the Rams is – they are willing to do anything and everything as it comes up. And so you never really can rule out anything with them.”

According to StatMuse, Cooper Kupp recorded 67 catches for 710 yards, scoring 6 touchdowns in 12 games last season. And also no one can deny the fact that he is a great player in Sean McVay’s roster. But since his performance has declined a bit, his sizable contract might be irking the eyes of the franchise. Hence, they might be moving away from him. But yes, as Andrew Whitworth pointed out – we just can’t rule out anything with the team. So, now as Los Angeles is still considering their star WR, they have already made one major decision this week.

Sean McVay and the Rams bid goodbye to their guard?

Sean McVay and the Rams have made a huge decision on Tuesday. They are sending their guard Jonah Jackson to the Bears, in return for a 2025 sixth-round pick. The trade isn’t official until March 12, but it’s already making waves.

Jackson’s journey has been a wild one. He started as a third-round pick for the Lions in 2020, playing under new Bears head coach Ben Johnson. So, that connection could also mean something for him and the team. Last offseason, he landed a $51 million deal with the Rams, but things didn’t go as planned. Why? Well, a shoulder injury limited him to just four starts before he was benched. Nevertheless, now, Chicago is opting for him to play in the next season with them. And they have an obvious reason for that!

The Bears need Sean McVay’s guard because their three starting linemen from last season are hitting free agency. If you are wondering who are they? Let us clarify it for you – they are the left guard Teven Jenkins, center Coleman Shelton and right guard Matt Pryor. Hence, this Jonah Jackson move is just the beginning for the Bears!
