Disappointed Detroit Red Wings Captain Makes Feelings Clear About Loss to Utah: “We’ve Lost”

Talking about back-to-back four defeats? Here we are. The Detroit Red Wings faced a 2-4 loss against the Utah Hockey club today, as the Utah team was simply better at being in the right place at the right time. This was the Detroit Red Wings’ 4th straight loss after a victory against the Minnesota Wild on February 25, 2025. After the game, two star players of the Red Wings were asked about the loss, and they confessed to nearly everything.

Patrick Kane and Dylan Larkin were in conversation with the NHL reporters in the post-game press conference. Larkin, the captain, said, “Just can’t find a win. We’ve lost. Not playing well. And we’ve lost playing well. And losing in different ways.” He continued, “You look at the big picture and kind of zoom out a little bit; it’s four games. We got a chance tomorrow night to rate the ship and get that win and hopefully build confidence from there.” The Red Wings will play against Alex Ovechkin’s Washington Capitals tomorrow.

And when the same question by reporters was asked to Patrick Kane about today’s loss, he said, “I mean, especially when you look at the schedule and see that you know we don’t have many home games left. I think we might have seven after this one tonight and 13 on the road. So, yeah definitely missed an opportunity.”
