Facing Dirty Accusations, Alex Pereira’s Ex-GF Merle Christine Hits Back With Bold Response After UFC 313

Alex Pereira’s defeat against Magomed Ankalaev has shaken his fans—but guess who’s celebrating? It’s Pereira’s ex-flame, Merle Christine.“We have a new light heavyweight champion… no more Chama. Karma,” she said with a smile. ‘Poatan’s’ fans didn’t take kindly to her comments, hitting back hard on social media, leaving Merle to defend herself against the backlash.

Merle didn’t stop there but she went on to praise Magomed Ankalaev for his feats, “This guy won, and actually, he got this title shot very late, right? So, I think we should give him some props. Even if we don’t like him or don’t like his fighting style, we should give him some props. No more chama.” Her video was later shared by the ‘FullSend MMA shared’ and Pereira took it a bit personally.

“I think she should stop mentioning my name cause her husband might get jealous, Chama,” wrote Pereira on the Instagram post. Interestingly, even Plinio Cruz took his time to call out Merle, “She should walk to the sunset and give her attention to her husband since she was splitting her time between him and Poatan for a year without no one knowing…”

Well, as things take a downturn for the MMA podcaster, Merle shared a photo of her on her Instagram story with the caption, “They thought she is a golddigger, but she is the GOLD digga.” The post stirred up significant controversy, prompting Merle to follow up with another one mocking Pereira’s “cute little fanboys.”

Alex Pereira and Merle had a very charming chemistry with each other. Starting their dating life together back in 2022, their relationship concluded at the end of 2023. After the fallout of their relationship, both of them have been calling each other out on several occasions but what was the reason for their breakup? When people from Full Send Podcast asked the questions to the former lightweight champ, he said, “Well, it’s a little hard to talk about this because, for me, I already deleted this person from my life. I would also like to ask my fans to delete her from your life.”

He further added, “It was a person I believed, I put her in my house, with my family. After all, I found out, she was married.” Well, even though both of them are separated, it appears that the scars of the past are still with them. Interestingly, Alex Pereira found some support in this beef from his fellow fighters.

Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and others go ballistic on Alex Pereira’s ex after her comments

Conor McGregor has recently expressed admiration for Alex Pereira, applauding his remarkable achievements throughout 2024. The Irish superstar even suggested that ‘Poatan’ deserves to be recognized as the true pound-for-pound number one fighter. Well, his admiration of Pereira is legit, and when he witnessed negative remarks from Pereira’s ex-fiancée, ‘Mystic Mac’ couldn’t hold back his words.

“Fugly b*tch wash you box,” Conor McGregor wrote on X, delivering a blunt response after seeing the video shared by Alex Pereira’s former partner following his UFC 313 defeat. However, it appears that he has deleted his tweet.

Well, McGregor is not the only fighter who took shots at Alex Pereira’s ex.  Former BMF belt-holer, Jorge Masvidal took to his Instagram handle to add a comment against Merle that read, “Evil in then eyes.” Furthermore, Neil Magny wrote, “Alex still won.” Aljamain Sterling in his YouTube video stated, “When I saw Alex Pereira’s ex making a video like no more chama I was like bro that’s a foul.”

Well, their back-and-forth might go on for days, but what do you make of this whole ordeal? State your thoughts in the comments below.
