Aaron Rodgers is an enigma. The Super Bowl winner has shown that he could take offense to even the slightest of issues. We saw it last season when he had issues with almost everyone in the football world. It started with the HC Robert Saleh taking objection to his Egypt trip while missing the mandatory minicamp. He then got into a squabble with the owner, Woody Johnson, claiming the public didn’t like him.
But the way he got into a spat with Ryan Clark and other analysts was ugly. It reached a boiling point which peaked with Clark calling him a fraud. Both sides later stopped responding, salvaging some pride. Well, that’s nothing new for someone who’s been in the league for two decades and seen the highs and lows it brings. But finding himself unemployed and uncertain about his future might be.
The issue Rodgers is focusing on now is his next franchise. His pleas were allegedly ignored by the NY Jets, who ate $49 million just to jet him off. On the other hand, the Steelers, who traded their 26-year-old QB Justin Fields to the New York franchise, are reportedly all-in to sign A-Rod.
According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Garry Dulac, the issue with Aaron Rodgers is not about the money. They have already made a considerate offer, but the 41-year-old veteran is taking his sweet time to commit to them. That’s strange, if we take his age into account.

But there are other reasons. The Giants reportedly have a keen interest in Aaron Rodgers too. There might be more names that crop up if he plays the waiting game. Or the ones that are in line might disappear. It’s an interesting cat-and-mouse game that awaits.
