Kellen Moore Confirms True Feelings on HC-Less Saints’ Home As National Reporter Confirms Eagles OC’s Next Job

The Philadelphia Eagles are bunking in New Orleans this week, but their play-caller might be eyeing more than just a Super Bowl ring.

Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore fueled speculation Monday, praising his team’s “incredible group” during Super Bowl Opening Night. “Certainly Saquon and Jalen, what they can do with the run game has been incredible,” Moore told NFL Network’s Peter Schrager, referencing Philly’s seven rushing touchdowns in the NFC title game. His glowing remarks came as the Saints—hosting Eagles practices—quietly wait to pounce.

“We just have an incredible group. A special group that rallies around each other. Certainly Saquon and Jalen, what they can do with the run game has been incredible”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed New Orleans views Moore as their top target but can’t negotiate until after Sunday’s game.

“Of course, barring a setback, he’s going to be the guy,” Schefter said Monday, noting Saints GM Mickey Loomis is avoiding tampering risks. Certainly not with Howie Roseman. The Saints learned from Philadelphia’s 2023 tampering win over Arizona—they won’t rush. Moore, meanwhile, dodged direct Saints talk but gushed about Philly’s culture. “The most excited he [Saquon] was all day was when [rookie] Will scored,” he said, highlighting the team’s chemistry.

But hurdles remain. Schefter warned deals can collapse—remember Josh McDanielsColts flip?—and Moore faces media scrutiny over the Saints’ off-field controversies. Still, the allure is clear: a potential salary triple and a coveted HC role.

This story is unfolding—stay locked in for the latest.
