FOX’s Michael Strahan Takes Over Iconic New York Area as Good Morning America Host Gives Retirement Timeline

If there’s one thing Michael Strahan knows like the back of his hand, it’s making an entrance. He isn’t the quiet, slip-through-the-back-door kind of guy—he’s bold, loud, and impossible to ignore, in the most fascinating way. And this time, he’s taken it to the next level, making his entrance in larger-than-life fashion—literally.

The Good Morning America host and former NFL star was featured on a massive Times Square billboard, a moment he proudly shared with his fans on Instagram on March 18, 2025. The billboard, labeled “Activate your confidence. Elevate your life” showcased Strahan wearing a navy blue suit, a multicolored tie, and, of course, his signature vibrant smile. He captioned the post, “Taking over Times Square.” He definitely did that—and in style, too.

Fans were quick to react and shower their love for Strahan. As one commented, “Dope Billboard.” Another said, “Fine tie!!! Fine shirt!!! Fine Suit!!! Elite, Elegant Gentleman.” Well, he definitely is elegant.

Strahan has always stood out with his skills in every aspect of his life and his ability to connect with the audience is top-notch. Whether it is football or the television, the guy knows how to impress. After a Hall of Fame-worthy run with the New York Giants, he switched to television.

Started as an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday and later became the beloved morning show personality on Good Morning America. And now he is coming back with his most famous ABC game show. But looks like he is also planning to take some time off television and plan his next step.

What’s next for Michael Strahan?

Strahan got featured on the New York Times Square, but his recent comments suggest he is also preparing and pitching himself for something new. He has always been open about everything in life – even with the challenges he faced in his life, particularly when his daughter was diagnosed with cancer.

So, Michael decided to take a step back from his television life and just be there for his family. But now as his daughter, Isabella, declared cancer-free in 2024, he has decided to take his television career in the 007 direction.

Yes, that’s correct. Strahan recently pitched himself to the Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, whose company now owns the famous James Bond franchise. “You recently acquired the James Bond franchise. Who do you think should play [the next Bond]?” Strahan asked. Jassy flipped the question back, “Who do you think should play?” And Strahan replied, “You are looking at him,” without hesitating.

Then, Jassy went on to explain that they are still figuring out the – who will play the James Bond part. But they feel lucky that they can take the James Bond franchise to the next generation. But Strahan, being Strahan, never backing down – reminded him, “I’m here.” Jassy replied, “Alright, and you are available and you’re interested.” And Strahan said, “All those things.”

Michael Strahan doesn’t just step into new roles – he just conquers the room with his charismatic personality. From Super Bowl champion to GMA host and now Times Square’s latest headliner – the man knows how to elevate. But why stop at billboards? Why not just be a part of the legendary 007 series? Well, what do you think? Will he be the next 007?
