Brandel Chamblee Scorched by Golf Community as 7-Word Jibe Against LIV Golf Comes Back to Haunt Him

Folks, LIV Golf is again in the news and fans are exhausted. This time it has less to do with its CEO’s comment and more to do with Brandel Chamblee. How and why? Well, to understand that let’s take a look at the viewership stats. The PLAYERS Championship has just finished after dramatic moments, with World No. 2 Rory McIlroy taking home the win. But the roaster of star-studded players not only showcased the ups and downs in the sport but also helped draw in a total of 3.6 million viewers on NBC on Sunday. Its peak? 6.2 million at 7 PM (ET).

Chamblee quickly drew comparisons to LIV’s season ended last year which boasted only 50k viewers. Talking about it, he said, “Compare this to LIV’s finale last year that concluded in prime time on the East Coast with Rahm winning… which drew 55,000 viewers.” But that’s not what drew the golf fans ire. It was something else. He added, “The PGA Tour is killing it and LIV is dying a slow costly death.” Ouch! But hey, that’s an age-old statement. Chamblee has been saying that for a while. So, what do the angry fans think?

Well, in simple words: a lot. One fan took to X to immediately comment on one important reminder:Bros been saying the same sh*t for 3 years. It’s exhausting. Give it up.”
