Jordan Vucenic Tattoo: Bizarre Confession Reveals Story Behind Bruce Buffer, Samurai & Other Inks

If there’s one UFC fighter who has made it very obvious that he shares a love for tattoos, it’s Jordan Vucenic. Competing in the stacked and vaunted lightweight division, some fighters can often go under the radar, but not ‘The Epidemic’. The 13-3 up-and-comer is covered with ink from head to toe and it’s glaringly noticeable. But do you know what significance the tattoos have? Well, that’s the agenda of this topic today.

The former Cage Warriors champion didn’t have the best of debuts in Dana White’s promotion, dropping a unanimous decision loss last year against Guram Kutateladze. Nonetheless, life moves on and the English star will be back in action in his native country’s capital of London this weekend at UFC Fight Night 255. Before we get to Jordan Vucenic’s fight at the O2 Arena against Chris Duncan, let’s learn about the meanings behind his tattoos.

What do Jordan Vucenic’s tattoos mean?

The 29-year-old lightweight fighter, as we’ve mentioned already, might just have the most tattoos out of anyone on the entire roster. The first and the most noticeable tattoo Vucenic has is a floral design on his neck and a couple of flowers inked on his chest. While floral tattoos often relate to love, beauty, spirituality, and rebirth, the two flowers on his chest, roses, to be exact, could mean something along the same lines.

Moving on to the next tattoo, Jordan Vucenic has his arm tattooed all black, which often stands for status and strength. Going a bit lower to his belly, fans will find a large Samurai tattoo, which can mean many traits regarded highly in the Japanese culture – from honor to courage and loyalty, and from disciple to warrior spirit. It would be to pinpoint the exact significance for Vucenic since he’s never mentioned anything about it.

The Corby native has a few more designs inked on his body, but some of the others that stand out include a woman wearing a tiger skin, inked on his right thigh. Now, some of you would be wondering what could that means. Well, the tattoo has a similar meaning to that of some of the aforementioned tattoos. He’s even got a scarecrow, and a lantern tattooed on his back. Moreover, the lightweight star also has a couple of tattoos on his face, near his ears, with one of them being the word ‘Saint’. But that’s not all because he’s got one more important tattoo, and surprisingly, it’s Bruce Buffer on the ink.

Jordan Vucenic gets a ‘Bruce Buffer’ UFC tattoo

The ‘Veteran Voice of the Octagon’ is unquestionably one of the most recognizable people from the world of MMA. His UFC introductions have become legendary, particularly for the energy he showcases while saying, “It’s time!” Fighters like Jordan Vucenic, who comes from a relatively small town, always wanted to hear his voice and his hometown getting announced by Buffer, which eventually came true. But before that even materialized, Vucenic decided to get the legendary announcer inked on his body.

“I’m from a very small little place and not a lot of people ever make it out from where I’m from. So I used to always say to people, ‘Imagine one day, I’m gonna have Bruce Buffer say, ‘Fighting out of Corby, England,’ and everybody used to say, ‘You’re like a dreamer’… The day that I was making my UFC debut, and I had Bruce Buffer there and he said [it], to me, it was like… that’s like 11, nearly 12 years in the making,” Jordan Vucenic told the UFC.

Well, Vucenic may have a lot of tattoos, and he’s open to adding more of them! However, He could be running out of places since he’s made it clear that there’s one place that he’d never get tattooed on, and that is his groin, or as he calls it, “the crown jewels.”. Regardless, what do you make of the 29-year-old tattoo collection?
