Ryan Gerard is a Titleist staffer. But by no means does he use an all-Titleist bag. Generally, pros sign for a 9 or 11-club deal with an equipment company, as Michael S Kim shared in a social media post some time back. Gerard packs his bag with a bunch of Titleist equipment, but he picks a TaylorMade club as well.
The 25-year-old University of North Carolina grad keeps a GT-3 driver with a 15-degree loft on top of his bag. The North Carolina-born star ranks 56th in driving distance. Interestingly, his driving distance (303.8 yards) is well above the tour average. Furthermore, Gerard ranks 23rd in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, gaining 0.232 shots compared to the field. His driver is fitted with a Fujikura Ventus Tour Spec 6 X shaft. GT3 is priced at $649 on the official Titleist website.
Next, Gerard was spotted using a Titleist TSR3 fairway wood by GolfWRX. It’s also fitted with a Fujikura Tour Spec 6 X shaft. In addition, he also has a TaylorMade Qi10 and a Titleist TSR1 Fairway Wood. Moreover, Gerard also carries a hybrid alongside the fairway woods. He picks the GT1 Hybrid with a 20-degree loft. The hybrid is listed at $321 on Titleist’s website.
Ryan Gerard goes with Titleist T200 for his 3-iron. Whereas for 5-9 iron, he picks Titleist T100. His irons are fitted with KBS Tour Hybrid Prototype FST 105 X (3) and KBS Tour C-Taper 125 S+ shafts.
Gerard has gained 0.518 strokes from his approach shots this year. His SG approach to Green places him on 24th in the PGA Tour this year. Whereas, he is 21st in approaches between 225-250 yards. While that covers one part of his game, let’s find out what the 25-year-old uses in and around the green.
Wedges and putters used by Ryan Gerard
Gerard uses a Vokey Design SM9 Wedge with a loft of 46 degrees and another with a loft of 50 degrees. The other two wedges have a loft of 54 and 60 degrees, respectively. Gerard ranks 46th in the PGA Tour in sand saves and 58th in scrambling. But in scrambling from 10 yards, Gerard is one of the best in the Tour, ranked at 10th.
On the other hand, the PGA Tour pro uses a Scotty Cameron prototype with a Golf Pride Z Grip. Gerard’s putting is not the best, but he stays on top of the leaderboard. He was the third-best putter in the Texas Houston Open field after the first round. Overall, he ranks 34th in SG: Putting in 2025. Interestingly, in long-range putting (putts from over 25 feet), the 26-year-old ranks 4th in the Tour.
