5-Star Chris Henry Jr Nearly Confirms College Football Destination After Michigan Insider Encouraged To Steal OSU Commit

If you follow through the recruitment saga, you might have noticed that wide receiver and No. 6 ranked recruit in the class of 2026 Chris Henry Jr. seems to be fully sold on the Ohio State Buckeyes. But as they say, truth is not always what we see outside. There have been more layers to it. Carrying a bloodline legacy to the NFL (son of Chris Henry, the kid gained a lot of spotlights after committing to OSU back in July 2023. Big programs didn’t sleep on him just because he was locked. They have been relentlessly working behind the door. Finally, it seems one head coach figured out the key.

One of these decisive layers of the existing recruiting drama surrounding the 17-year-old kid turned out to be the Oregon Ducks and Dan Lanning. Big applause for the aggressive monster of the current era of college football. After his first visit to Eugene during Junior Day, the five-star kid went heavy on the Ducks’ facility and hospitality. ‘‘My interest in Oregon is definitely up there. I would put them right behind Ohio State,” Henry Jr. said to 247 Sports earlier this week.

Now, adding more feathers to the Ducks’ winning cap, the standout WR donned an Oregon duck tracksuit today, clearly hinting where he’s heading next. On his second visit, Henry Jr shed light on the coaching supremacy of the Big 10 giant. ‘‘When I was up there, I got to talk to Coach Lanning, Coach Adams, and Coach Stein. Their message to me was that I’m a priority for them and that they’re not going to give up,” said the California native,”

Oregon flaunts an amazing record of fostering NFL-ready receivers in their locker room. So, if the groundless connection really covers the ground, it would be a solid synergistic gain for both parties.
