The last we watched, Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on November 15, 2024. Although the actual fight appeared “unexciting” to many, it was concurrently streamed on Netflix by 65 million people. Who knew that it could still be a possible dead-end for the 11-1 boxer, instead of a step-ahead? Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Paul’s business partner and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), has recently announced the 28-year-old’s schedule for this and the following year.
“We’re actively working on putting together Jake’s fight for this summer. And we’ll announce it as soon as we’re ready. And then we’re actively working on figuring out Jake’s next fight—call it October to December time frame. So the plan is for Jake to fight twice in 2025 and 2 to 3 times in 2026,” said Bidarian on The Sun.
He said that ‘El Gallo’ has many options for potential bouts, including a rematch with Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s half-brother. But as of now, there is no official announcement on who the opponents could be. There are still some gaps that need to be figured out first. With no existing rivalries and KSI planning to retire soon, the American boxer could really struggle with generating a promising revenue for his promoter.

KSI showed interest in retiring only after he had a face-off with Paul, and now the plans seem to be up in the air. Fans also anticipated an interesting sibling rivalry between Logan Paul and ‘The Problem Child’, when the duo teased it on Jake Paul’s live stream on Twitch. Sadly, the initially thought boxing face-off was actually for a reality series that will stream on Max instead.
Despite his best efforts, the Ohio-born YouTuber-turned-boxer is unable to secure high-profile opponents. For instance, his fight with Canelo Alvarez in May 2025 dropped when Alvarez signed a contract with Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season. Even Ryan Garcia, previously a potential match for Paul had to go off due to a severe hand injury.
Jake Paul will fight former NBA players next
According to Sports Illustrated, Bovada has suggested that Paul may take on multiple former NBA players to fight next. Speculations involve a fist-off against LeBron James, or Damian Lillard. The YouTuber-turned-boxer would still need to take up more challenging opponents, likely active boxers, and there is a strong reason for that.
No doubt, he has managed to garner significant attention after his fight with Mike Tyson. He won by unanimous decision in the biggest boxing gate in U.S. history, outside of Las Vegas. When he had just entered the sport, the influencer was frowned upon, seemingly taking up fights just to boost his popularity rather than any actual commitment to the game.
To continue ahead and keep making his fights actually count, Paul needs to put himself out there. Selling fights would become hard, and the little support he has gained recently can turn into dust in no time. Moreover, Paul could also be fighting Conor McGregor in either July, August, or September 2025, in India, says Salvador Rodriguez from ESPN.
