“Don’t worry; you’re going to get your money. Sign with us.” Taking a walk down memory lane reminded us of this weird thing that happened last May: a massive lawsuit against Billy Napier, former Florida staffer Marcus Castro-Walker, and donor Hugh Hathcock. Now, at that time, people and media flocked over to support the QB Jaden Rahsada for his decision. $13.85 million was up in the air, and Jaden Rahsada didn’t even receive his promised agreement, so it made sense to paint Napier as the villain in the alleged lawsuit drama. Well, 396 days later, things have changed. Not only did the lawsuit get “almost” completely buried under the season’s weight, but Jaden Rahsada’s QB career has got people asking if he’ll even make six figures a year or not.
“Georgia transfer QB Jaden Rashada has been in contact with WKU, UConn, and Tulane, @PeteNakos_ reports.” On3 shared this update just a few hours ago, and it made us rethink the entire downfall Jaden had over a year. From being a Bulldogs backup to hitting the shooting range for a 2nd chance at restarting his gridiron life. Now, we have no idea what the Georgia fans think about this entire scene. After all, in the 2024 conquest, Rahsada wasn’t even there. AT ALL. His stats of 485 yards in 3 games with 4 TDs and 3 interceptions come from his 2023 conquest with the Sun Devils.
All that, 2 freaking years ago. Since then, the dude has been sitting on the bench and eating peanuts.

Now, misery LOVES company. Rahsada went from being a 3rd string at a Tier 1 SEC team to hitting the portal and betting on Tier 2 or Tier 3 rosters; combined with that comes some revelations from the court. OutKick managed to get their hands on the ongoing Rahsada x Napier case documents and it smells troubling. Judge M. Casey Rodgers had ruled in favor of the defendants to partially dismiss the case, but the case of fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, and inducement, along with negligent misrepresentation, will continue moving forward.
Final proceedings will all boil down to the fact that Rahsada’s lawyers present enough evidence to prove that the alleged fraud happened. Give it another year and maybe we will end up seeing an outcome. Coming back to his “football” status, and well, it is shaky.
See, despite the “average” stats, we still have to remember one thing: Rahsada wasn’t always a “destined to be a backup” QB. He was a solid 4-star and No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the 2023 class. Miami had seen the potential in him, so they had him committed, but then the entire Florida shenanigan happened, and the rest is history.
Now, should WKU, UConn, or Tulane take a gamble and give this QB a second shot at life? Let’s talk about it.
Give Jaden Rahsada a chance?
Georgia’s third-string quarterback but the 2nd best option in the transfer portal. It makes you wonder: Is a quarterback who hasn’t played a single snap for a whole season really worth the risk? Let’s talk about WKU first. The Hilltoppers took 2 massive L’s last season. First was the unfortunate TJ Finley injury that caused the QB to rest for several weeks, and the second was the 0-63 thrashing by Alabama.
Let’s be honest, that entire game was basically you bullying your younger brother in Madden 24. Coming back to the Rahsada debate, if he does join WKU, he won’t have the starting job. Western Kentucky has already used their ace to acquire Maverick McIvor. Chances are, they won’t even bother with Jaden.
Now for the Green Wave. Well, the grass IS NOT greener on the other side. They snuck in Finley from WKU, but karma is such a B-. TJ got himself tangled in a big “stealing” drama, which caused the Green Wave to suspend him indefinitely. Now Jon Sumrall has access to Kadin Semonza, and they could use another backup on the spot. So, Jaden has some chance here.
Finally, for the Huskies, well, the team already has Joe Fagnano. Also, Nick Evers is returning, so that makes 2 solid options. Let’s be realistic. Even if Rahsada makes it here, do you really think he will be more than another backup or 3rd string?
This is so sad.
