Having been away from the fight game for almost four years, Conor McGregor seemingly destroyed any hopes for a possible return after he claimed to be “happy” with what he achieved in the UFC in his MMA career. However, it seems like he could be reconsidering his decision after claiming that he’s interested in his formerly slated rival, Michael Chandler, who’s fighting at UFC 314 this weekend.
Michael Chandler has been calling for the Conor McGregor fight for a long time, and even when his scheduled fight at UFC 303 got scrapped, he still isn’t losing hope on that one. But he could be losing that opportunity to his upcoming opponent, Paddy Pimblett, because McGregor claims to be looking forward to their fight in the co-main event on 12 April. “I am interested in the Chandler/Pimblett fight this weekend,” ‘The Notorious’ stated in an Instagram post, where he’s seen training and doing some pad work.
Well, Conor McGregor has mentioned coming back more times than we can remember. So, do you think this time is a genuine hint at a proper comeback? The former double champion even tagged the UFC and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings, in his post to let the brass know as well. Regardless, let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
