Will Augusta National Disqualify Amateur for Peeing in Rae’s Creek? Jose Luis Ballester’s Fate Explored

Jose Luis Ballester has caught himself in the middle of a very unwanted pickle. The 21-year-old who is making his first-ever appearance at the Augusta National Golf Course, teeing off with Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas, was found urinating into Rae’s Creek during one of his rounds after seemingly forgetting that there were toilets nearby on the course.

“I didn’t really know where to go, and since JT [Justin Thomas ] had an issue on the green, I’m like, I’m just going to sneak here in the river and probably people would not see me that much, and then they clapped for me. Probably one of the claps that I really got today real loud, so that was kind of funny,” the US Amateur Champion stated about the incident.

He admitted that he urinated to the press, which the organizers are likely to take kindly about. He also made the concerning statement that despite the patrons around the course catching him in the act, “it was not embarrassing at all for me. If I had to do it again, I would do it again.” The Spaniard stated.

The chances are that he will not be fined or disqualified, since anything like this has not happened before, but Augusta officials are not going to look favorably on this matter, considering he admitted that he would do it again.

This is a developing story..
