Shaquille O’Neal would be one of the scariest people on earth if he wasn’t so nice and had such a great sense of humor. After all, the 7’1″, over 300 pounds legendary NBA Center is a giant among men. This is why it was so surprising to see diminutive popular streamer Adin Ross pick a beef with the real-world equivalent of ‘The Incredible Hulk’ at UFC 314 in the Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday. In clips shared by Ross, he and ‘Shaq’ could be seen going back and forth to each other. The ‘Inside the NBA’ host even gesticulated the finger across the throat gesture. Moreover, he kept yelping obscenities and even threatening to smack him multiple times during the event.
Moreover, the streamer dared him to “stand up and do something” and even threatened to sue ‘Shaq’. There is a bit of a history between the two men since Ross had slapped some M&M candy out of the NBA legend’s hand at a previous UFC event. This was later claimed to be a skit by the streamer who added that it was the Lakers legend who suggested going for the move to go viral. However, things seemed pretty heated when they saw each other this time around.
Or did it? Michael Bisping and Paul Felder actually don’t think so. “I’m calling number one bull–it brother on this. It’s all set up. It’s all set up,” Bisping reiterated on his ‘Believe You Me’ podcast. “This is all because Shaq’s probably going to go on his stream next week,” ‘BYM’ producer, Hamilton, chimed in.
“Shaq is a gigantic man, he’s gigantic, right? And I don’t think Shaq would lower himself to like, you know, UFC event,” Bisping began. “To have such a hard beef with a, like a streamer guy,” Felder finished. “Shaq is like actually rich, like, he’s not fighting anybody. He has more money than anybody,” Hamilton pointed out.
“Yeah, dude every time you turn the TV on. ‘Shaq’s like in some, like, insurance commercial or, you know, some sleeve you put on your knee. He owns everything. He owns, like, different fast food restaurant chains, like he owns so much s–t,” ‘The Irish Dragon’ agreed.
Indeed, it could well have been a set-up. If there is one thing ‘Shaq’ knows is how to create headlines and stay relevant. What better way to do that than to get into a tiff with a popular streamer at a high-profile UFC event attended by the sitting President of the United States? Bisping and the ‘BYM’ crew certainly seem to think so. But there was at least one thing Ross and ‘Shaq’ could come together on.
Adin Ross and Shaquille O’Neal pay their respects to Donald Trump at UFC 314
Adin Ross was not the only celebrity Shaquille O’Neal had a run-in with at UFC 314. Also present in the Kaseya Center for the card along with Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was President Donald Trump, who was greeted with a standing ovation by the adoring UFC crowd. Among those who walked up to greet the 47th President and shake his hand was Shaquille O’Neal. The duo could be seen amicably shaking hands and briefly whispering in each other’s ears.
Trump, of course, is very good friends with UFC CEO Dana White. Moreover, the POTUS regularly finds the time to attend UFC events. Before this, he attended UFC 309, 302, 299, and 290 over the past three years, and is always very well received by the crowds. Adin Ross, who is a strong Trump supporter, also walked up to the President and shared a picture of them beaming and shaking hands.
Although a few days ago, Ross was lamenting that the tariffs Trump announced recently were hurting his pocketbook, it seems the financial hit has not dampened his support for Trump. What do you think about Michael Bisping’s thoughts on the Shaquille O’Neal-Adin Ross UFC 314 verbal exchange?
