Former five-division champion Floyd Mayweather is in the middle of a whirlwind of bankruptcy rumors. However, he has now seemingly silenced those rumors by flaunting his $100 million watch collection. Earlier this month, Mayweather’s former friend and long-time rival, 50 Cent, publicly questioned some claims the retired boxer had made.
Mayweather reportedly purchased 62 apartment buildings in Upper Manhattan for $402 million without outside investment. Per Hot News Hip Hop, in response to this, ‘Fiddy’ shared a clip from Fighters Corner News titled, ‘Stephen A. Smith EXPOSES Floyd Mayweather For Going BANKRUPT After $402 Million SCAM.’
“Damn Champ they caught you CAPPIN. Hahahaaha Time for another exhibition! LOL,” he wrote in the caption. He also poked fun at Mayweather’s claims during his appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, writing, “Over a hundred buildings and 99% in New York. LOL, THAT’S CAP, CHAMP.”
Giving this rumor more legitimacy, a report from Business Insider claimed there were no public property records in New York City linking Mayweather’s alleged purchase. Even the New York Housing Partnership suggested that they were not aware of any such deals. Later, boxing insider Rick Glasser also hinted at the legitimacy of the rumors.

“Rumors of Floyd Mayweather Jr being in financial trouble [are] hard to [swallow], but [are] deeply rooted[,] I’m told,” he wrote in a tweet. Despite the mountains of alleged evidence against Mayweather’s financial ruin, the boxer seems to have shrugged off the bankruptcy rumors through his stories on Instagram.
He shared three clips on his Instagram story, each showcasing a watch from his collection. According to reports, Mayweather bought a custom 145-carat diamond-encrusted watch worth $1.8 million to celebrate his 48th birthday in February. He acquired the watch from New York’s Pristine Jewelers, crafted by celebrity jewelers Avi Davidov and Ofir Ben Shimon.
It’s unclear whether Mayweather owns the other two watches he showcased in his Instagram story. Regardless, Mayweather’s most expensive watch in his collection remains the Billionaire Watch, embedded with 239 diamonds worth $18 million. However, those aren’t the only watches in his collection.

Floyd Mayweather doesn’t just wear watches—he wears wealth. The undefeated boxing legend owns a jaw-dropping $100 million watch collection filled with ultra-rare, gem-encrusted masterpieces. At the top sits his iconic $18 million Jacob & Co. Billionaire Watch, dripping in 260 carats of emerald-cut diamonds.
Then there’s the Hublot King Power WBC crafted specially for his 2015 fight against Pacquiao, featuring baguette-cut emeralds and a full diamond pave. Mayweather also flaunts a ruby-set Patek Philippe Nautilus, a limited-edition Richard Mille RM 59-01 Yohan Blake, and a fully customized Richard Mille RM11 Felipe Massa, iced out by Jadelle Beverly Hills.
Let’s not forget his signature Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT—a tribute to his brand, The Money Team—decked with over 400 diamonds.
That said, it appears Floyd Mayweather has hit back against the rumors of his bankruptcy through the subtle flex on his Instagram story. Do you think there’s any truth to the bankruptcy claims?
