Mario Cristobal Pulls Off the Impossible to Keep Carson Beck Happy After Big Admission on Miami QB’s Future

The Canes ended their 2024 season with a 10-3 record. They failed to make the playoffs and even lost their bowl against ISU. But the season still wasn’t bad by any means. For starters, this was the first time since 2017 that Miami won 10 games, but it was also a feat for Mario Cristobal to take a breather after his arrival. They had Cam Ward, a Heisman-level QB, and receivers like Xavier Restrepo raking up receptions left, right, and center. However, what happens now that both Cam Ward and Xavier Restrepo have departed?

Well, Miami has lost a total of 22 players this offseason, either to the portal or to the NFL draft. However, the main unit that was hit badly was undoubtedly the wide receivers. The two veterans, Jacolby George and Restrepo, opted for the NFL draft and raised significant issues regarding the receiver room. But this wasn’t it. Other wide receivers recently opted to enlist in the transfer portal. But the biggest blow was undoubtedly Ny Carr. But now it all seems to be changing.

According to recent reports by ON3’s Pete Nakos, the Miami wide receiver has finally withdrawn his name from the transfer portal, giving a major boost to Mario Cristobal. Nakos wrote on his X account. “Miami wide receiver Ny Carr has officially withdrawn from the transfer portal, @On3sports has learned. Former top-100 recruit is staying with the Hurricanes.” The player will finally be back with the Canes and will surely look to provide Carson Beck with those perfect receptions.
