Long-Distance Blues Hit Frances Tiafoe as Ayan Broomfield Turns Up the Heat in Californian Desert

Long-distance relationships are never easy, and who knows it better than professional athletes? Ask the ATP pro Frances Tiafoe, who seems to be missing his influencer girlfriend Ayan Broomfield, as he gets ready to start his campaign at the Madrid Open. But it’s not the first time Big Foe is going through this. Whenever Broomfield is away, Tiafoe’s comments on her social media posts make it very evident how much he misses her absence. When Broomfield went to California to enjoy the annual music festival in April last year and uploaded her pictures from there, Tiafoe couldn’t hold back making a cheeky comment. “Fit crazzzzyyyy bbbb baddest girl in the world,” he wrote, reacting to Broomfield’s stunning looks. Fast forward to now, and nothing has changed. Tiafoe has again been awestruck by his girlfriend’s breathtaking looks. But where has she been this week?

On April 25, Broomfield shared a post featuring multiple pictures from her trip to the Palm Springs, California. Purpose? Well, she’s there to attend the grand opening of Jacquemus’ new store in Los Angeles. For the uninitiated, the latter is a popular fashion brand, founded by French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

Broomfield has been spotted flaunting Jacquemus’ outfits and accessories on several occasions previously. Remember how she dazzled in a sheer black dress and matching blazer from Jacquemus while attending the Vogue World event in Paris last June? Tiafoe couldn’t resist showering praises back then as well. “Yea that fit was the one for sure #statementpiece,” he wrote.

Well, in Palm Springs, it’s hard to resist embracing the natural beauty. In the IG post, Broomfield dropped various pictures of herself, sporting attractive outfits. From swim suits, working casuals, to full-on dresses, she looked amazing while enjoying her stay in California. Choosing perhaps the perfect caption, she wrote, “casually living my Pinterest board.”

And guess what? Beau Tiafoe didn’t waste much time sharing his reaction. His longing for Broomfield was understandable as he simply wrote, “Miss you bb” while praising her jaw-dropping looks.

But of course, it’s not the first time Tiafoe has admired Broomfield’s fashion sense on social media. Even last month, he appreciated Broomfield’s special look from Canadian apparel brand Lululemon? Back in January, Tiafoe ended his longtime apparel partnership with Nike and joined forces with Lululemon. His GF celebrated the moment on IG, writing, “Proud of you.”

Then, in March, Broomfield herself sported Lululemon’s dresses and accessories during her stay in Miami. “Match days in @lululemon ”, she wrote in her post. Lululemon’s official Instagram account acknowledged it, commenting, “@ayan.broomfield Game, set, and style.” Soon, Tiafoe also took notice and was left in complete awe! “@lululemon x @ayan.broomfield ,” wrote the American ATP pro.

While his personal life is going smoothly with GF Broomfield, Tiafoe has been struggling to maintain consistency on the court.

Frances Tiafoe’s form takes a dip in the 2025 season

Frances Tiafoe has failed to impress much with his racket this year. His start to the season itself was underwhelming as he lost in the R16 at the Brisbane International against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Then down under, he couldn’t go past the third round. Hungary’s Fábián Marozsán ousted him in a five-setter. The poor form continued in subsequent events, too.

In Dallas, Acapulco, Indian Wells, and Miami, Tiafoe was eliminated in R16, R16, R32, and R32, respectively. The only relieving moment came at the US Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston, where he managed to reach the final. However, he missed out on his second trophy in Houston after 2023, as he lost to compatriot Jenson Brooksby in straight sets in the summit clash.

In his next two ATP appearances (Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona), Tiafoe once again failed to shine, as he was ousted from both tournaments in the R32 successively. While Tiafoe’s journey has been underwhelming in 2025, he will be looking to bounce back in Madrid and make a deep run.

The World No. 17 will kickstart his campaign against Italy’s Luciano Darderi on Saturday. Are you backing Tiafoe to find his form in Madrid? Let us know in the comments below.
