Losing players to the NCAA transfer portal has become an unavoidable part of college athletics in today’s NIL-driven world, and LSU wasn’t immune to it either. With five Lady Tigers from last season’s squad entering the portal, the program had some big holes to fill. But LSU responded in a major way–landing South Carolina’s electric guard MiLaysia Fulwiley. It’s one of the biggest portal moves this offseason, and it’s already lifted the mood in Baton Rouge!
Flau’jae Johnson couldn’t contain her excitement after the Fulwiley news broke. She took to X and quoted a tweet claiming LSU now has the best Big 3 in the nation with just one word: “Yes.” That simple response said it all. Even Kim Mulkey joined in on the celebration, posting a gif of her championship-winning squad alongside three blaring siren emojis “”. Safe to say, it’s party time in Baton Rouge!
