With Derek Carr still injured, the Saints have made a major QB decision that alters their QB room. According to NFL insider Ari Meirov, the Saints are releasing Ben DiNucci after signing him just last year. He was touted to be a bridge starter after Carr got injured. However, it seems the Saints have other plans.

DiNucci’s release comes after the Saints’ new head coach, Kellen Moore, praised his rookie QB Tyler Shough. Given his age, 25, Shough may not be a rookie, but his 8 years of experience in college were enough for Moore to take him under his wings. “Tyler experience, certainly there’s value to that..He’s got great exposure and he’s got great experiences that he can lean on,” Moore said.
