It didn’t end well, but we’ll get to that. However, there was one person close to Tyrese who chose to celebrate his triumph in an unusual way. And that’s his girlfriend, Jade Jones. Having started dating back at Iowa State University, the two have a deep bond that’s lasted for years. And the genuine affection they share was on full display tonight.
Throughout game day, Jade used social media to express her excitement for her boyfriend. It started with her posting a picture of the Tyrese Haliburton cookies she’d gotten. But soon, after Tyrese had vanquished Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, it was story after story in appreciation of Tyrese and his hustle tonight.
The capper? The one where she re-shared a picture of Tyrese Haliburton posterizing the ‘Greek Freak,’ (you can see the post below). But in her Instagram story, she added a brief yet telling caption. The post’s caption read, “It’s always Haliburton.” And playing on that, Jade wrote, “I know that’s righttttt.” Isn’t that sweet?!
Tyrese deserved every bit of appreciation his girlfriend showed him, though. Tonight, he was on fire for the Pacers. To start, he registered 26 points and 9 assists against the Bucks. But he was also quite the force on the defensive end of things. Tyrese got in three steals and three blocks, the highest in his team in both those stats. And his two-way contributions went a long way in helping his team dominate the Bucks tonight.
But not all of his loved ones were so wholesome in celebrating his incredible showing tonight. And that brings us to John Haliburton, Tyrese’s dad. He got wild in his celebrations tonight. It all came to a head when John waved a towel with Tyrese’s image on it, right in front of Giannis’ face. Upset with the disrespect, Giannis did not hold back as he entered a heated verbal exchange with John before others jumped in, separating the squabbling pair.
At least Jade knows how to celebrate Tyrese without getting into trouble, huh? But just because she has the better judgment in this scenario, doesn’t mean she’s immune to slip-ups of her own. And during a game of “Who’s more likely to,” we learned that there’s a particular page on social media that always gets the better of her.

Not too long ago, Tyrese and Jade appeared on an episode of “WAG Talk”. The couple spilled a ton during their appearance. We learned that Tyrese made the first move, and that he thinks his girlfriend is a better dresser than him. Whereas she thinks he’s more likely to survive a zombie apocalypse because she’d take care of him.
But one of the funniest revelations came when the interviewer asked, “Who’s more likely to get tricked by fake sports news?” Without missing a beat, Tyrese pointed at Jade. She, in turn, said, “At least once a day.” To that, Tyrese added, “She sends me Centel every day.”
And Jade? All we can say is, we get it; we’ve all been there.
