“I Got Paid Good” – Kevin Holland Finally Squashes Ugly Beef With MMA Legend After Making the Most Out of Rampage Jackson Podcast Episode

“I understood why Kevin Holland was mad at me… At that time, Kevin could’ve spit in my face and I wouldn’t have done nothing, because he was so close to his fight.” Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson opened up about his true feelings on The Ariel Helwani Show, understanding Kevin Holland’s mentally drained state while he was preparing to fight Reinier de Ridder at UFC 311. The ex-UFC light heavyweight champion was ready to leave behind the animosity, so ‘Trailblazer’ responded accordingly—squashing the beef for good!

The back and forth between them started when ‘Rampage’ humorously dissed Holland’s fight against Michael ‘Venom’ Page at UFC 299. He took to social media and wrote, “looked like two women scis—-ng,” which touched the Californian native’s nerves, and they later sat face to face with each other on the JAXXON podcast. As expected, the conversation started catching a little heat, and soon enough, it turned into a full-on confrontation. Callouts flew from both sides, but somehow, the episode turned out to be nearly an hour and a half long, without them throwing the chairs.

Now, Holland has gotten wind that the former 205lbs kingpin has finally opened up about the situation and also praised him as a talented fighter. So, he believed the time was right to quit his ‘Big Mouth’ persona and acknowledge the legend’s words of appreciation directed towards him. He replied under Ariel Helwani’s post on X, and wrote, I’m not mad at you rampage, I got paid good off the podcast got a free 45-70 and technically 8 head of cow thanks OG.”

Rampage talks his diss track on Kevin Holland and where their beef stands:

“I think Kevin Holland could be champion. I think he could be a really good fighter in his weight class, but it seems like he’s not focused on it.

He’s focused on smoking weed, going out and playing with… pic.twitter.com/xNpD7tVYj7

‘Trailblazer’ made it clear that he made a good amount of money from the podcast. However, for the unversed, the 45-70 is a caliber of rifle, which was also part of the discussion in their episode. Holland asked the former light heavyweight champion, Do you know what a 45-70 is?” To which Rampage, clearly not a gun guy, declined and said no. Then the UFC fighter replied, Okay then shut the f–k up,” which only dug the confrontation deeper and made Jackson even angrier. Coming to the cow heads, it could simply mean that he got 8 cows with the money he received from the podcast.

Currently, Holland is scheduled to fight Vicente Luque at UFC 316. He has definitely become a staple in the pay-per-views and gets sprinkled in every time the promotion needs him. But Rampage was also set to debut in the boxing ring with his eternal rival Rashad Evans, which fell off, and the 205lbs legend believes the shady promoters are to be blamed.

Rampage Jackson blames shady promoters for the canceled Rashad Evans boxing debut

The former light heavyweight champion might not have been inside the cage for a long time, but his competitive spirit still shines bright. He wanted to avenge his over a decade-long loss against Rashad Evans at the ICS Mania 1 boxing event on April 12th, 2025, and he also looked ready to step inside a cage for the first time. However, the event couldn’t materialize. Reason? ‘Rampage’ believes the boxing industry’s infamous shady promoters got involved and completely shattered this long-awaited rematch.

Jackson told Ariel Helwani, More shady promoters, man! I heard boxing is real shady! Honestly! I’m not just getting over my depression about it. I ain’t gonna lie, I was a little depressed about that, because I wanted to get my first boxing match, because you know I get too old, I’m 46 now and fought the time I was undefeated it’s been a great match up for me to fight Rashad because I always wanted to get the win back. Because I trained really hard and I did the whole thing.. I did everything right, and I was going to knock Rashad out.”

That’s gotta sting for ‘Rampage’. Fans were hyped to see him and Evans finally throw hands in a boxing ring, even if both were way past their prime. The press conference was a spectacle, and it was expected that the fight would turn out even more entertaining. It’s nothing but a huge letdown that this OG clash fizzled out after garnering so much hype.

That being said, do you think there’s a chance that we see Quinton Jackson back in action once again? Please comment in the comment box below.
