Serious Headache Confirmed for Cowboys HC After George Pickens’ Arrival

Since the Cowboys traded for George Pickens, a lot of things are flying in the air. Some experts say that the Cowboys invited the wrong guy, while others are happy that the Cowboys have got a star. But if you do the analysis of both sides while keeping the 2025 NFL season center point, we can see there is going to be some problem with the Cowboys and the head coach Brian Schottenheimer. What’s the problem and headache?

Well, this was beautifully explained by Albert Breer when he was on Colin Cowherd’s podcast on May 8. When Cowherd asked how the season was going to be for the Cowboys as the offensive side added George Pickens, Breer pointed out, “I mean that’s to me is like why Brian Shottenheimer is a really important figure here. It’s like this is what you’ve put at the doorstep for your first year as head coach, and how is that going to be handled?” He also added, “It’s more difficult when you know you’re playing for playoff position in October and November, and maybe the best thing for the team is to keep feeding the ball to CD Lamb, and the best thing for the team is for George Pickkins to be a decoy.” But what he said after this was really important for the Cowboys’ upcoming season.

Breer further said, “I think he [Brian Schottenheimer] will do a great job building a culture there. You know, one of his first jobs now is to make sure that everything is clear with the receiver room as to the roles that they’re going to play, how that could play out over the course of the year.” Yeah, this is going to be a real headache as George Pickens is known for pulling out skirmish out of nothing, which disturbs the environment in the locker room. Pickens has also been punished many times for the violations by the NFL.
