Daniel Cormier Joins Boss Dana White as Special Greetings for Mother’s Day Flood UFC World

Mother’s Day may not fall on a fight night, but it still packs an emotional punch across the UFC community. For many fighters, the day offers a rare pause—a chance to step away from the grind of training camps and weight cuts to reflect on the women who shaped their lives. From champions to rising contenders, UFC fighters flooded social media with heartfelt tributes. Some thanked the mothers who supported them long before the spotlight, driving them to early morning practices and pushing them to chase their dreams. Others honored the mothers of their children, recognizing their strength and sacrifice behind the scenes while they battle inside the Octagon.

Among those joining the chorus of heartfelt tributes were UFC president Dana White and former dual-champion Daniel Cormier, who added his voice to one of the many touching messages.  The UFC CEO and Cormier were present at the recently concluded UFC 315 event. ‘DC’ was part of the commentary team and was also responsible for the Octagon interviews. However, White was quick to get back to his hometown, as shared by him on his Instagram story. The 55-year-old wrote a caption on his story which read as, “Back in Vegas!! Happy Mother’s Day”.

On the other hand, Cormier took out time to wish all the mothers in his Instagram video. The Hall of Famer has often spoken about how his family’s unwavering support played a crucial role in his journey to greatness. Their belief in him, through every high and low, fueled his rise to the top. But now, that foundation feels incomplete—his beloved mother Audrey Cormier passed away in 2022, leaving a void that no achievement can ever fill. But ‘DC’ still took out time to share a message for all the mothers out there.

He wrote a caption which read as, “I’m always late. This time, it may have caught up to me, lol. On my way home. So excited. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there. My post-fight reaction video from@octagon side will be live at 12pm eastern/9 am Pacific. What a night from Montreal! Insane. We have a new champ so many questions answered. Tap in. In a sport known for its grit and violence, moments like these serve as a powerful reminder: behind every fighter is a story, and often, at the heart of that story, is a mother. Recently, the UFC CEO opened up about how his mother, June White, struggled to raise them in their younger days.

Dana White shared how his mother took care of the family during their childhood

It’s no secret that UFC President Dana White is known for his blunt honesty. However,  during a recent appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, he pulled back the curtain in a way fans rarely see. Trading his usual bravado for vulnerability, White opened up about the harsh realities of his childhood—a time that forced him to grow up fast.

The struggles he faced in those early years didn’t just shape his no-nonsense approach to running the UFC; they also deeply influenced the kind of father he strives to be. His tough upbringing, marked by hardship and hard lessons, and seeing his mother work tirelessly, helped him shape his career.

White, during Episode 14 of the show, Wonder Land with Khloé Kardashian, opened up about the struggles he faced in his childhood. He said, “Listen, I had…my mom was crazy. We’re just sitting here talking about family…my mom was nuts. And my dad was never around.” His father, Dana White Sr., struggled with alcoholism and was mostly absent from his life.

With his mother working long, grueling hours as a nurse to keep the family afloat, Dana and his sister, Kelly, were often left to navigate childhood on their own. It was a tough environment that forced them to grow up quickly and learn how to survive without much guidance or support. He further added, “We were home alone a lot because we had a single mom who was a nurse. She worked a lot,”
