Kyle Busch’s struggles with the Next Gen car are well-documented, and he’s been outspoken about how the new car hasn’t helped his cause. Well, after a hot and cold start to the 2025 season, the RCR star was already climbing the mountain after a torrid qualifying round, starting 25th. Well, he didn’t make a fuss about it and kept his head down and made some good progress in stage 1, and he raced his way up close to the top 10 positions. And just when things were starting to work out for Rowdy, he ran into another issue; this time, he reacted in a typical Kyle-Busch fashion.
Unable to make any more gains, Busch lost his cool and lashed out at NASCAR’s newest innovation. The two-time champion recently tweeted, “Unf—— believable. This car sucks so bad. Thank you, #NASCAR,” showing his anger with the current situation.

The good news for Rowdy Nation is that the #8 team has two more stages to turn a corner for good. It wasn’t just Busch; AJ Allmendinger from Kaulig Racing had his race cut short after the engine on his car blew up early in stage 1. Perhaps, ECR engines aren’t producing the raw speeds that they were once known for.
