Golf Fans Demand Justice as Korn Ferry Tour Pro Reveals Unfortunate Stealing Incident After Win

For Bryson Nimmer, who was ready to crash out after a series of disappointing performances in the 2024 season, during which he even slipped to conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour, a win at the Tulum Championship “changes everything.” And why wouldn’t it? He now stands in 16th place in the season-long points standings, a crucial position since the top 20 players at the end of the year will earn their PGA Tour cards. However, the celebration turned into something akin to a “nightmare” when Nimmer faced something no golfer should.

After winning his 50th career KFT event and achieving his second top-10 finish, Bryson Nimmer had the clubs he used to secure his victory at the Tulum Championship stolen. In an update on his Instagram story, Nimmer said, “Had my Golf Clubs stolen in Bluffton . If anybody in the area happens to see a Mizuno golf bag with my name on it Blue/ White or someone trying to sell: Mizuno S3 irons, Callaway or Mizuno driver, 3 wood, Mini Driver, Or Scotty Cameron Circle T putter Please contact me .”

Bryson Nimmer’s golf journey has been challenging, making his current situation even sadder. A standout at Hilton Head Christian Academy and Clemson, he struggled in professional golf against talented young players. In 2024, he only made the cut in seven of 19 tournaments, which caused him to lose his automatic entry status on the Korn Ferry Tour. Before last weekend, he had played in just three tournaments this season, making the cut in two and earning over $8,000. Recently, he married WJCL News anchor Riley Miller, and they are expecting a daughter. His win at the Tulum Championship earned him $180,000, and now he’s facing this challenge.

As unfortunate as this incident is, it hasn’t happened for the first time. Before the 2019 ANA Inspiration, Annie Park went to her car to head to Mission Hills Country Club and discovered that someone had broken the back window of her rental car and stolen her Callaway golf clubs and bag. She had to call the police to report the theft, contact the car rental company, reach out to her insurance company, and, on top of that, find a new set of clubs to use for an important golf tournament. Undoubtedly, it’s an old issue. However, considering the recent situation, golf fans have united to demand justice for Bryson Nimmer.

Golf fans are demanding justice for Bryson Nimmer

Sympathizing with Bryson Nimmer’s situation along with the rest of the squad, two golf fans said, “I’m ‘liking’ this post, but I actually hate this. Hope they catch the thief soon” and “Golf Twitter when they find out who stole the clubs!” The second fan added a GIF of The Simpsons to show their support for the golfer. As of now, we have not received any updates from Nimmer about the situation. However, we hope he finds his clubs soon.

A fan pointed to a particular club in Bryson Nimmer’s bag and commented on Monday Q Info’s post, “Circle T is gone for sure .” The coveted Scotty Cameron Putter Circle T is a premium club renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and performance, priced between $3,000 and $4,500. If the thief gets their hands on it, they might just decide to keep it for themselves.

Two of the fans replied, Hope they catch the POS soon” and “That’s terrible.” A similar thing happened to golf pro Ben Hadden in 2022. Hadden, who had only recently earned his PGA Tour Canada card, was set to play at the 2022 All Pro tournament in Texas when someone stole his golf clubs from the car park at Squaw Creek Golf Club.

Talking about the incident, Hadden said, “The worst day I’ve had. It’s tough to explain to somebody who hasn’t had a custom set of golf clubs for a long time just how devastating this feels.” Eventually, Hadden had to start a GoFundMe to raise money for his clubs.
