Well, when it comes to the Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback, Dylan Raiola, the young chap did turn heads by channelling a Patrick Mahomes look last season. Looks like talent runs in the Raiola family. Dylan’s brother Dayton Raiola has been a sensation at Buford High School, and later on, the 3-star has committed to Nebraska. The two brothers also have a sister, Taylor Raiola. Well, she chose not to grow under the shadow of her two brothers and carved a path of her own. She played volleyball at TCU. While Taylor is very close to her brothers, someone special holds the major portion of her heart. Showing her affection for the ‘love of her life,’ Dylan’s big sissy penned down a 9-word heartfelt note.
Born in Scottsdale, Arizona, Taylor went to the Scottsdale Christian Academy. Even though her father and brothers are into football, while their mother played water polo, she earned four varsity letters in volleyball. Just like Dylan and Dayton, she caught the spotlight by leading her team to three consecutive AIA State Volleyball Championships from 2017-2019. As a freshman, Taylor appeared in 15 matches. Debuted with a 14-kill, 10-dig double-double vs. West Virginia on October 16 to become the first Horned Frog to notch a double-double in their collegiate debut since 2005. Dylan’s sister posted two double-digit kill matches in her senior season. In 2024, she earned her bachelor’s degree in youth advocacy and education studies from TCU and now works as Nebraska’s graduate manager for recruiting. No matter how busy Taylor is, she did not forget to celebrate her best friend, her doggo, whom she named Rooster Raiola.

“Happy gotcha day to the love of my life,” wrote Dylan’s sister, sharing a picture with her furry friend on May 17. The story had a picture of Taylor and Rooster chilling in the park and various happy moments from the time when the doggo was still little. Another picture had a small replica doll of Dylan’s sister holding Rooster. May 17 marks the day when Taylor adopted him. And it’s obvious it was hard for her to control all the emotions. Dylan’s sister let her emotions flow and wrote, “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me Roost .” Well, Rooster is treated like an important member of the Raiola family. Did you know just like Dylan, Dayton, and Taylor, he too has an IG account since May 2023? The username is “roosterthe_vizsla.” And his bio is surely going to make you go ‘Awww.’
It reads, “Happy handsome Hungarian Vizsla Lincoln, NE Mom- @taylor.raiola.” The account is more like a diary of all the happy moments Taylor and Rooster shared. From decking him up in a bath towel to taking Rooster to cheer for Nebraska, Dylan’s sister made Rooster part of every experience. Oh, wait! There is one picture with Dylan, too. The duo is captured chilling on the couch. The caption read, “me & uncle dyl watching film before his scrimmage today .” While Taylor must be busy with her career and the preparations for Rooster’s big day, she did not forget to make Dylan feel special.

Remember how the Nebraska quarterback had sent shockwaves among college football programs by carrying off the Patrick Mahomes look? The same Oakley glasses, the same broccoli hair. But poor Dylan! When it came to the quarterback’s gridiron skills, the Mahomes touch vanished like a poof! Things looked good from afar. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns in less than three quarters of action against UTEP. Unfortunately, Dylan’s struggle with heavy sacks did not go unnoticed. The game that Nebraska fans will remember for the longest time, not for the good reasons, of course, is the one against Illinois. Dylan took THREE SACKS!
Well, that did not stop sister Taylor from celebrating his big day. After all, she has been his loudest supporter on and off the field. Taylor is often spotted cheering for Dylan on the field, accompanied by Rooster. The Nebraska QB turned 20 on May 9. And of course, it called for some special treatment. She posted a series of pictures that the siblings shared over the years. The big sister has been there beside Raiola through thick and thin. It had a picture of the siblings duo from their childhood, to various emotional moments captured on the field with Dylan in the Huskers gear. Well, the caption too did justice.
Taylor wrote, “How y’all see him vs. how I’ll forever see him!! Happy birthday to the one who is pure joy, the one who made me a big sis. You’re growing up waaay too fast but watching you do it is one of life’s greatest gifts. You’re my built in best friend, a smile when it’s needed most and you always show up. So proud of you, always. Cheers to your 20’s Dylan boy!! Shine on.” That’s how, juggling family pride and puppy cuddles, Taylor Raiola cheers for Dylan while mothering her beloved Rooster.
