Yes, he was catching passes without gloves and barehanded. True that he is, in fact, studying two NFL playbooks. And he still intends to play both sides in the pros. However, don’t falter your opinion based on a few poor reps. On defence, the statistics support him: Travis Hunter was second among all drafted corners with a 90.3 PFF coverage grade the previous season. Throughout the season, he gave up just 23 receptions for 222 yards and a single touchdown.
That isn’t typical. It’s elite. And that’s the reason the Jaguars haven’t flinched. Travis, however, isn’t here to take the safe route. His goal is to alter the course of events.
