It isn’t every day that you see your child graduate from college and make a name for themselves in the world. After all, not only did she graduate from a Prairie View A&M HBCU college, but she also became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which is considered to be a major honor in black collegiate tradition. Chad Johnson, being a huge supporter of HBCUs and black collegiate tradition, for sure would have been very happy.
Chade Johnson, daughter of Chad Johnson, shared an Instagram post celebrating her graduation, with her caption saying, “140 credit hours later.” In the post, she shared a bunch of photos from her graduation ceremony and wrote a note thanking the “village, my family and friends” for their “unwavering love and support.” She also mentioned that she has completed a B.S. in Health and a Minor in Psychology. Chade received many messages of love and praise on her post. It wasn’t just her followers and friends who liked her posts. Many ex-NFL players joined in and liked her post. Some of the big names from the NFL world that liked the post include Coach Prime Deion Sanders and NY Jets legend Damien Woody.
Chad Johnson‘s visit to Prairie View for his daughter’s graduation surely would’ve reminded him of last year when he visited the college for a coin toss at their homecoming day. He has been a huge supporter of HBCUs and has in the past passionately talked about them. Getting emotional, he had even asked people to “experience a homecoming at some HBCU at a state near you.” Johnson himself has spent time at Langston College, an HBCU, before he transferred to Oregon State to play football, before being drafted into the NFL.
Chad shares an appreciation post for his daughter
After his daughter Chade posted on Instagram, Chad too joined in and shared a post congratulating his daughter. Chad posted a picture of himself and his daughter posing together with the graduation certificate, with Chade in the customary black robes and a stole. The caption read, “Congratulations to my AKA diva @chadekierra on graduating today from Prairie View A&M 🩷 x “. Reacting to the post, many followers sent their wishes.
A lot of users left some heartfelt comments and loads of love on the post. As one person commented, “two grads in one year!! amazing ,” while referring to Chad’s son, who also graduated on the 16th of May this year. Talk about being a super proud dad.

Having accomplished one goal of completing college, Chade will now be ready to face the world. And her father will be with her, holding her hand while she steps into a new era, standing strong, maintaining the classic father-daughter bond, and supporting his daughter. No matter what.
