After Ohio Dig, Bryce Underwood Forced to Eat Humble Pie With His Own Eye-Opening Message

You ever seen a 5-star QB throw shade and wisdom on the same day just minutes apart? That’s exactly what Bryce Underwood just did. He and the boys were hanging out at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, soaking in some offseason fun. Then one of the guys chipped in saying, we can’t take over the whole Ohio.” But that only fueled his confidence. “I can run this mf,” he declared. That might sound like a direct jab at Ryan Day and Ohio State considering he’s a Wolverine now. But here’s a twist.

That wasn’t just some hotshot moment from a kid gassed up on NIL millions. A few minutes later on the latest episode on Bryce Underwood’s YouTube channel on May 18, Bryce Underwood dropped two pieces of golden advice. “Always remain humble, you never know who you will come across and you’ll never know when you come across them again,” he said. “Always treat people the correct way or treat them the way you want to be treated.” Call it elementary, call it cliché. But coming from Michigan’s crown jewel, it hits different.

This is a kid who inked a multi-million dollar NIL deal led by Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison and his wife Jolin, a Michigan grad. Bryce Underwood’s got every reason to be Hollywood, yeah, those glitzy flashes and head on the clouds kind of attitude. But he keeps showing up like a walk-on. And that humble mentality, for his HC Sherrone Moore, is what sets him apart.

Sherrone Moore said it best in his conversation with On3’s J.D. PicKell. “I think it first starts with Bryce with his foundation of his mom and dad, Jay and Beverly,” he said. “They’ve really created a very humble human being who he’s confident, he’s confident in his abilities, but he’s humble. And he just wants to work and be the best.” Bryce Underwood isn’t about the flashy lifestyle. He isn’t a kid out chasing nightclub clout or trying to trend on TikTok. His circle’s tight, his head’s down, and his eyes are on the goal line. So yeah, he may talk big sometimes but he walks it just as well, maybe even better.

Bryce Underwood’s weapon – Humility+effort

If there’s one thing nobody can question, it’s Bryce Underwood’s motor. Coming out of Belleville HS with over 11,000 yards and 152 TDs, just 15 miles from Ann Arbor, he made headlines last year when he flipped from LSU to Michigan. Since then, he’s been nothing short of relentless. He’s been outstanding,” Sherrone Moore said. “He’s just a worker and he never stops. He wants to be the best, he’ll do anything to be the best.”

Michigan’s OC and QBs coach Chip Lindsey backed that up saying, Bryce, getting to know him has been unbelievable. The guy is as humble and driven as I’ve seen. People from the outside may not see that or know that, because of the hype that goes with it.” Even rising sophomore Jordan Marshall added, To be around a guy that gives back, who loves his teammates, who puts his team over himself. You could not ask for anything better.”

As for Bryce Underwood, he has a plan which is to win a “couple of Heismans and at least one natty.” And yeah, he’s not going to take what’s handed to him. He’s going to earn it. And Ohio State should be prepared to meet the top freshman to watch in 2025.
