The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Busch, celebrated his 40th birthday this year on May 2nd by giving out a $40 promo ticket for the “Fast Cars & Guitars” concert hosted by Kyle and Samantha Busch to benefit their Bundle of Joy Fund. And, just a few days later, the couple celebrated their son Brexton Busch’s 10th birthday by posting a heartfelt message on their social media accounts. B-Rex has tuned 10, reaching the double-digit mark, and with every birthday, he inches a step closer to the dream of racing with his father in a NASCAR event.
Rowdy might be known for his fierce rivalries and extraordinary techniques on track, but off it, he is a proud dad, melting into a puddle of emotions. Instead of horsepower, this moment ran on heart-power, as it turns out, even the fastest drivers cannot outrun their feelings when it comes to their kids.
In a post on X, Busch celebrated his son’s birthday by posting a long caption and pictures from his past races and private endeavors, reminiscing about the bond they have together. “Happy 10th Birthday to my amazing son @brextonbusch,” Kyle wrote. “I can hardly believe you’re already hitting this milestone—double digits, wow! You’re such a fantastic boy, a stellar racecar driver, an adventurous fisher/hunter, and the best brother and son anyone could hope for. Your joy and personality brings happiness to all of us. I love you so much, and I can’t wait to celebrate you today! Here’s to another year of fun and amazing adventures!”
At such a tender age, Brexton has become one of the best rising stars NASCAR has ever witnessed, be it starting his racing journey at 5 years old or racking up numerous wins in a variety of disciplines. He already has a Golden Driller to his name after winning the Junior Sprint A event at Tulsa Shootout. Well, the father-son duo even raced against each other for the first time at Millbridge Speedway. It would’ve been quite a sight if Brexton could beat his dad in their first-ever race. He almost did, as Rowdy finished 5th just ahead of B-Rex in 6th place.
Happy 10th Birthday to my amazing son @brextonbusch!

The post revealed a lot of things about Brexton, including his activities apart from racing, showing his versatility at just the age of 10. One of the pictures posted along with the birthday wish was also a throwback to Brexton Busch’s commanding victory at Florence Motor Speedway in 2024, where he competed in the Bandolero feature during the CARS Tour event, piloting the #18B SERVPRO car to a dominant position. He went on to secure the pole position and led every lap, crossing the finish line ahead of Camden Truett and Corbin Cannon.
Brexton’s mom, Samantha Busch, also posted a reel on Instagram, sharing the sweet memories of the family from Brexton’s birth to his recent victories in racing. Proud mom and dad indeed! Samantha captioned it, saying, “Happy 10th Birthday Brexton! You are an amazing, talented, kind and incredible son and we love you so much!” The reel also included a clip from Brexton’s victory at Wake County Speedway in 2024, adding yet another significant and memorable event to the family album.
As Brexton inches closer to the big day, there’s a clear road map, his father, Kyle Busch, has for him. Going by his previous prediction, we might see more of Brexton on pavement tracks moving forward.
Kyle Busch Sets Roadmap for Brexton’s Racing Career
As the young man turns 10, Brexton has already set out his plans for his racing career. Both Kyle Busch and Brexton have decided that it is time for the latter to move from Bandaleros to Legend Cars. Kyle Busch also shared insight into his son’s development and future goals on Denny Hamlin’s Actions Detrimental podcast earlier this week.
Brexton has not met the minimum age required to race in a Legend Car and plans to make his debut in the INEX Legends National Qualifier at Hickory Motor Speedway. “He’s getting more into the Legend Car right now as well,” Kyle explained. “He turns 10, he can’t race a Legend Car until he turns 10. That’s this week. He’ll actually race his Legend Car debut next week at Hickory. There’s a lot more race track around our area for Legends Cars, pavement racing.”
Now that Brexton is 10, Kyle Busch’s plans do not just stop here, he wants his son to be exposed to both dirt and asphalt racing soon, which would lead to Late Model racing. “When he turns 12, it will be Late Model stuff, getting him into Dirt Late Models and getting him into Pavement Late Models,” Kyle said. “I’d like to keep him on both, just learning that sense of all the different vehicles that you can drive. Don’t stay in anything too long, then you learn those bad habits that keep you good at that, but don’t allow you to keep your mind open and fresh to new things.”
And the list goes on and on, and why shouldn’t it? A legendary NASCAR veteran, he wants Brexton to carry on the family legacy. There’s also a bigger agenda; the rebirth of Kyle Busch Motorsports also runs parallel to Brexton’s rise. What a sight it would be, Kyle Busch and B-Rex competing in a NASCAR Truck Series race.
