He quickly became a standout for both his arm strength and ability to lead and inspire. While he was at Marcus, he was coached by Kevin Atkinson, which helped carve out a legendary record.
In solo 2018-2019, he threw an eye-popping 1289 yards and delivered 9 TDs in 9 games. These numbers have placed him among the best QBs in Texas high school football. He was a precision passer with a flair for the dramatic, often delivering highlight-reel throws and threading needles.
Nussmeier is widely recognized and hailed as a “legendary” Texas high school football passer. He wasn’t just another athlete passing through, Marcus.
