The 4 Nations Face-Off is just two days away! The “Landmark International Tournament” will see Sweden, Finland, the USA, and Canada lock horns, in what could easily be the new All-Stars game of the future. While all squads are getting their A-game on for the tournament, it seems like Bruins captain Brad Marchand is feeling extra confident that Canada is the team to beat in the upcoming rumble.
Team Canada’s attacking depth is jaw-dropping, to put things in perspective. From Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon to Sidney Crosby and Cale Makar, there’s no dearth of goal-scoring prowess on the team. With a power play that can decimate the opponent’s defensive play, Marchand thinks a few pieces of advice on tackling the team’s attacking spree won’t go amiss by the other camps.
In a post on X by Spittin’ Chiclets from February 10, the Boston star joked about how he would possibly defend against Canada’s power play. “I would probably put three goalies in the net and just let them try to do the job,” he said candidly when asked how he would handle the power play situation. “5 of the best players to play the game are on that power play,” Brad highlighted how the roster of the team could intimidate anyone who’s playing against them.
