Why was Crystal Bradford Waived by the Las Vegas Aces

Women’s basketball reporter, Khristina Williams, broke the news of Crystal Bradford being waived off mid-season by the Aces. She took to X and posted, “The Las Vegas Aces have waived forward Crystal Bradford, the team announced.” The athlete was waived on June 11, 2025, due to her limited role on the team. Bradford had averaged 1 point, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game this year.

A Look at Crystal Bradford’s College and Professional Career

The Michigan native attended Central Michigan University and became a standout player in the program with an exceptional all-time record. She made 2000+ points, 1100+ rebounds, and 100+ blocks during her tenure at the University. Needless to say, the exceptional athlete became the first CMU player to progress in the WNBA.

What awaited next was nothing short of extraordinary. Bradford became the 7th overall pick in the 2015 W draft. She was inducted by the Los Angeles Sparks. While she averaged 2.7 points in 15 games with the Sparks, Bradford was pulled into the international basketball circles.

She played in Finland in January 2016, before appearing in the 2017 Global Women’s Basketball Association. Bradford not only played for the Flint Lady Monarchs but was instrumental in clinching the GWBA title, in true MVP fashion! Then, instead of returning to the W, she progressed to Israel in 2017-18.

While Crystal did manage to sign a one-year preseason contract with the Indiana Fever the following year, she did not appear in any regular games under the Fever. She later made a debut in the Turkish basketball league and has been associated with two clubs during the 2020–21 season. But the free agent soon signed a deal with the Atlanta Dream in 2021 and represented them with 8.8 points and 3.8 rebounds. She also played in Poland in 2021.
