The Giants have acquired the All-Star third baseman in a blockbuster deal. They are sending pitchers, Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, and additional prospects back to Boston. Moreover, the Red Sox will not cover any cash in the remaining $250 million contract of Devers.
“The Red Sox will not send any money to cover the remaining $250 million-plus on Devers’ contract,” MLB insider Jess Passan confirmed.
