Despite their new approach, the New York Giants appear to have some internal issues. The squad was destroyed during the 2024 season, but they are on their approach to making a big return. Brian Daboll, the head coach, has some plans, and whispers of a handful of new signings are already circulating. However, at this critical juncture, it appears like the squad has suffered a significant blow to its offensive coaching staff.
If you recall, Brian Daboll made a big move for the Giants during the 2023-24 season. He hired his son, Christian Daboll, who graduated from college that year, as the offensive assistant. And things did not go well with the squad. As a result, after two years with the Giants, Christian has formally resigned from his post. According to reports, the man is currently exploring greater prospects with other organizations.

Pat Leonard revealed this in his report, “Giants offensive assistant Christian Daboll, the son of head coach Brian Daboll, has left the team’s coaching staff to pursue other avenues, per sources Brian Daboll hired Christian onto New York’s staff coming out of college at Penn State for the 2023-24 seasons.” The news is making massive headlines considering that maybe Brian Daboll can also change his career path.
Christian Daboll’s partying ways with the team have come at a very difficult time. The team at the moment is looking for a new QB and Matthew Stafford is the prime candidate for that. But unfortunately, now that the Offensive Assistant is not there. It seems like the pressure would be on Brian Daboll only.
The HC has been with the team since 2022 and has done some amazing things. In his rookie season, the Giants won 9 games and one playoff game. This was the team’s greatest performance since 2010, and Brian Daboll was named coach of the year for the season. However, 2024 was the complete opposite for the team; things were not going their way, necessitating significant changes. The HC is currently conducting extensive research on this topic about the team’s QB problem.
Brian Daboll is analyzing players for the 2025 NFL draft
Massive new stars could emerge at the 2025 NFL Draft. And it appears that the New York Giants can also look for their next breakout star in the draft. Currently, two major quarterbacks are overhyped. These two are none other than Jaxson Dart and Shedeur Sanders. They both have made their name appear at the top of every record. And due to this, they have caught Daboll’s attention.

[Staff Photo/Gary Cosby Jr.]Brian Daboll discussed these two emerging stars, suggesting that there is a good probability the team will go with them. While the Giants would face stiff competition for one of them, it would have a significant impact on them. When asked who the team preferred, the HC replied that he would rather examine both of them attentively. Both players are fantastic, but Daboll will look closely at their performance to determine who would fit in best with the team.
The HC revealed in an interview, “My biggest takeaway in this whole process, studying more of Shedeur, studying more of Jaxson is there’s not a huge difference between Shedeur and Jaxson Dart in terms of talent and their potential to be starting quarterbacks in the NFL. That may shock some people. They’re completely different styles. It’s almost like watching a different sport.”
