Love always prevails! Gary Player was in the headlines in December 2024 for a surprising reason, love. The 9x major winner had confirmed that he had found love again in his partner, Susan Waterfall. Last seen at the 2024 PNC Championship with his grandson, Alexander Hall, the former PGA pro dropped the news about taking the heart wagon again.
The legend was previously married at the age of 22 to his late wife, Vivienne Verwey. They were together from 1957 to 2021, when Verwey took her last breath. Still perfectly fit, and with an active social lifestyle, Gary Player connected with friends and associated during social gatherings. Friends played their game and he met the New York local, Susan Waterfall. But make no mistake, Player has not forgotten about the past yet.
The 3x Masters Tournament winner shared a post with a compilation of his wife and entire family. Together, Player and Verwey had 6 children, 22 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren in their 64 years. The Instagram slideshow traced their journey from a party of two to a whole squad of 30. The post was captioned, “All you need is love, just look what it can grow into GP.” The images were the perfect visual representation of what you can build with love.
