NBA All-Star Celebrity Game: Rome Flynn Sends 5-Word Message After MVP Win as Druski Voices Against Injustice

Celebrities attending an NBA game is nothing out of the ordinary—it happens all the time. But celebrities actually playing in an NBA game? Now that’s a whole different spectacle. And it’s precisely why the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game remains a fan favorite. This year, actor Rome Flynn stepped onto the court and left as the undisputed MVP, delivering a performance that secured his team’s victory. However, not everyone was on board with Flynn taking home the prestigious title.

Flynn put on a show, recording 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in his team’s win at the Celebrity All-Star Game. Coached by MLB legend and all-time home run king Barry Bonds, Flynn led his squad to victory over Team Rice, which was coached by three-time Super Bowl champion Jerry Rice.

With the final score reading 66-55, Flynn’s 22 points—the highest by any celebrity on the court—played a crucial role in securing the win. But despite his dominance, comedian and influencer Druski was not convinced Flynn was the rightful MVP. In fact, he openly protested the decision.

MVP ME , dream come true @NBA

— Rome Flynn (@RomeTrumain) February 15, 2025

Of course, Flynn wasn’t fazed. He shut down the debate with a simple five-word post on X: “MVP ME, dream come true.” Tagging the NBA in his post, he made it clear—there was no controversy in his mind. But back to Druski and his rather bold claims.

Druski took to X to express his frustration, claiming he was robbed of the MVP title. The issue? He only managed to score four points all game. Sure, his floater near the end was impressive, but let’s be real—losing the game and scoring just four points does not scream MVP-worthy. Regardless of what he says.

Adding to the spectacle, Druski later revealed that he had been playing through the flu, sharing a rather unpleasant picture to prove it. He even dubbed it his own “Flu Game”, an obvious reference to Michael Jordan’s legendary performance in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. Safe to say, not exactly the same thing. Kind of makes you glad he didn’t win, right?

At the end of the day, the right call was made—Flynn is, without question, the 2025 Celebrity All-Star MVP. But now that we know how Flynn and Druski fared, let’s take a look at the rest of the lineup. Who else took the court, and how did they perform?

Who played in this year’s NBA Celebrity All-Star Game? How did they do?

As always, this year’s NBA Celebrity All-Star Game brought together an exciting mix of entertainers, athletes, and former pros to showcase their skills on the court. Coach Barry Bonds’ team featured Druski’s friend and popular streamer Kai Cenat, along with MVP Rome Flynn leading the charge. Here’s the full lineup for Team Bonds:

Two-time Grammy nominee Noah Kahan
“Halo” star Pablo Schreiber
Olympic track and field gold medalist Masai Russell
Actor and singer Dylan Wang
Former NBA star Baron Davis
LA Sparks standout Rickea Jackson
“Captain America: Brave New World” actor Danny Ramirez
Four-time Grammy nominee Mickey Guyton
Two-time Grammy nominee Tucker Halpern

Rome Flynn led the game in scoring and was Team Bonds’ biggest offensive threat. LA Sparks forward Rickea Jackson also put up an impressive 16 points, while former NBA veteran Baron Davis and musician Tucker Halpern matched Flynn’s eight-rebound tally. Pablo Schreiber was close behind with seven rebounds. However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Team Bonds, as Masai Russell and Mickey Guyton were unable to register a single point. To make matters worse, the team struggled from beyond the arc, going 0-for-21 on three-point attempts.

On the other side, Jerry Rice’s Team Rice fared slightly better in that department, making two three-pointers—including one by Druski himself. Maybe that’s why he feels he was robbed of MVP? All jokes aside, here’s who suited up for Team Rice:

Six-time Grammy nominee Shaboozey
Basketball skills trainer Chris Brickley
Singer and songwriter Walker Hayes
“911” actor Oliver Stark
Former NBA champion Matt Barnes
Golden State Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton
Olympic track and field silver medalist Shelby McEwen
Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley
Rapper and singer AP Dhillon
Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens

On paper, Team Rice had a stacked roster. Not only did they have former NBA champion Matt Barnes, but they also had Kayla Thornton from the Golden State Valkyries and renowned basketball trainer Chris Brickley. And let’s not forget two-time NBA Celebrity All-Star MVP Terrell Owens. Even so, no one on their team broke the 20-point mark. Owens led the way with 18 points, while Shelby McEwen followed with 14.

Between the star power, on-court action, and Druski’s post-game antics, this year’s Celebrity All-Star Game had plenty of drama and entertainment. If you missed it, there’s still the real NBA All-Star Game to look forward to—with a fresh new format promising even more excitement.
